New Year’s Eve turned out to be tragic for New Orleans. A truck crushed 15 people to death and injured 30 others on Bourbon Street amid celebrations. Investigators discovered the terrorist’s connections and identity; this was a planned terrorist attack. 15 people is a big number in terms of innocence. Saints quarterback Derek Carr delivered condolences, sharing the Saints’ official note to the affected people: “Our hearts go out to all victims and their families during this critical time.” Along with him, the interim head coach of the Saints, Darren Rizzi, held a press conference to deliver a heartfelt message to the City. Rizzi said, “It goes without saying this was senseless. It’s hard to comprehend why these things keep happening in our country.” Before starting this, the Saints’ head coach was terribly concerned about his kids when the terrorist attack happened. According to reporters, Rizzi’s house is just near Bourbon Street.
New Orleans Saints former head coach Sean Payton also sent a heartfelt message: “My heart is broken for the loss of a lot of innocent lives. I haven’t seen any of the news specifically. I just know how late it happened, and it’s awful. I’ll catch up when I go upstairs as to what exactly happened.”

The Denver Broncos HC also added, “It’s just gut-wrenching news, especially this time of year. There’s no great time of the year, but when it happens when so many people are down there for the bowl game and down there for the New Year’s festivities. I hate it.” Along with Derek Carr and former HC, linebacker Demario Davis expressed his emotions, saying, “This is a national tragedy.” It certainly was a brutal attack.
