Not everyone is happy with the NFL’s selection of stars for the pre-game extravaganza. But as they say, you can’t make everyone happy. The NFL also drew flak when it revealed the names for the half-time show. Many were expecting that artist to be Taylor Swift. No points for guessing why. She’s been all over the media promoting the NFL through her connection with Travis Kelce. But alas, they chose Usher.

Now, fans think that the pre-game lineup could have been different as well. But before that, who are the stars that will be “setting the stage” for the climax of the 2023 season?

Reba McEntire will be gracing the audience with her rendition of the national anthem. She’s a country star and may not have a huge following. But you know, who does? Post Malone. The rapper will be singing the song “America The Beautiful”. And who would be singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing”? That would be Andra Day.

As soon as the news broke, a lot of people had a lot of opinions. And they weren’t going to keep it to themselves. Adam Schefter’s Instagram post was flooded with reactions from football fans. Some were happy with the NFL’s decision, while some were unhappy. So, what are the people saying about the lineup?

Fans split on the NFL’s decision

Two singers from the list had received great support from fans. Two fans argued that they should actually be made to do the halftime show. @chris_berry4 said, “Post 4 halftime!”. While, @mylifeastifff belonged to the Reba camp. She commented, “Reba should be doing the half time show! Can you imagine Fancy being played? Omggggg”.

However, there were some dissidents as well. @theburakshow said another band should be brought to the show and said, “BRING GOD DAMN METALLICA TO HALF TIME SHOW!!!! They can blast it out!” @aloha_jav threw his support in favor of T Pain instead of McEntire. “Should have gotten T Pain instead of Reba.” Overall the sentiment seemed to be positive. @brandon._.fisher sided with the NFL and said, Post malone is gonna ne amazing”
