The showdown between the titans of the teams, QB Jalen Hurts and Baker Mayfield, will be exciting to watch especially when the two will meet for the third time in their NFL career.
Jalen Hurts is going to lock horns with Baker Mayfield!
Baker Mayfield has played against Jalen Hurts twice in his career. One in September 2023, when he lost to the Eagles 25-11 in their Week 3 matchup. Earlier they met in November 2020, wherein Mayfield, who was then with the Cleveland Browns, defeated Hurts 22-17. As per NFL history, the Eagles have met the Bucs 22 times (including 5 postseason games). Interestingly, they have a winning score of 11 each against one another in their meetups.

Hurts’ team had a strong start this season with a 10-1 record, but a series of losses in December dropped them to the No. 5 seed in the NFC East. Despite their early success they now face a road playoff game against Mayfield’s squad. The Eagles who defeated the Bucs earlier in the season, enter the playoffs with some challenges.
QB Hurts is recovering from a finger injury, and A.J. Brown suffered a knee injury in the last regular season game. Their offense struggled to score over 20 points in four of their last six games. On the other side, the Bucs’ defense performed well against the run but allowed significant passing yards (95.3 yards per game).
