Anyone who was thinking that Jason Kelce would be punished for throwing a fan’s phone out of anger? You have your answer now. Justice has been served, and the results have been presented. As per TMZ Sports, Penn State University Police has officially closed the case of Kelce’s phone-smashing incident.

Well, the reason behind it is simple: there isn’t enough evidence against the former Eagles center. “The individual in the video footage circulating on social media has not been identified. And no one has come forward to University Police with a related complaint about damage to personal property,” the PSU Police released this statement to TMZ Sports. Well, this verdict doesn’t really surprise us, considering what went down on Nov 2nd.

When Kelce was walking through the streets of Penn State, one of the fans suddenly jumped into his face. Moreover, he started throwing slurs at his brother’s relationship with Taylor Swift, “Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a f—— for dating Taylor Swift.” Well, that heckler probably got what he deserved moments later. As Kelce grabbed his phone and smashed it on the ground, responding, “Who’s the f—– now?”

As for Jason, he didn’t take long before apologizing through his ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, “I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud. Within a heated moment. I chose to greet hate with hate and I don’t think that’s a productive thing. I don’t think it leads to discourse.” Although Jason wasn’t at all proud of the incident that went viral, his brother was rather supportive.

Talking on the New Heights Podcast on November 6, Travis Kelce said, “The real situation is you had some f—— clown come up to you and talk about your family. And you reacted in a way that was defending your family. You might have used some words that you regret using, and that’s a situation that you just gotta kind of learn from and own.” Now that Jason has learned the verdict of this incident. He could probably move on. But this isn’t the only viral incident with the fans Jason has found himself in.

Fans bombarded Jason Kelce with requests for autographs

Just last month in November, when Jason Kelce appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, some fans were waiting for his autograph. However, when it was time for Jason to leave the building, one of the fans heckled abuse at him. A viral video, similar to the Penn State video, captured a fan saying, “You ain’t nobody special.” Coming out of his car, Jason said, “I have a habit of not signing for people that follow where I’m going.”

And this man didn’t stop there as he continued throwing expletives, “Morgan f—— Freeman did it with a busted hand. That’s 100 times bigger than your sorry a–. You got a podcast and you think you’re a hotshot? You’re nothing.” Unlike Kelce, he remained calm and tried to diffuse the situation by saying, “I love you.”

What’s your perspective on:

Did Jason Kelce's reaction to the fan's slurs cross the line, or was it justified?

He even approached the group from where the alleged man was shouting, “Listen, man. I’m trying to be rude. I’m not trying to be mean. I have love for you. OK, and I’m sorry. I didn’t mean anything by it. I promise you.” Now that they have resolved both incidents, Kelce can start afresh. After learning from his mistakes, Kelce could start a new chapter with his fans, who definitely love him for his takes on podcasts and live TV.
