Another day in the NFL, another twist in Tee Higgins‘ story. Here we go again. The WR’s offseason has been nothing but a roller coaster. With different teams approaching him, the man can go anywhere. Higgins hasn’t only been negotiating a contract with the Bengals. But he’s also trying to talk things over with other teams about a possible trade. And among them, the Patriots are currently the most heavily reported for his potential trade. But, as mentioned earlier, there is another twist for the WR in this story.

Some important reports have surfaced about Tee Higgins, revealing the WR’s potential future in New England. After some discussions, it appears like the Patriots’ new head coach, Mike Vrabel, will not be seeking to push for the receiver. Well, yes, it’s odd, but it’s true. New England’s primary wide receivers in 2025, most probably can be DeMario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte. As the team appears to believe in them.

Chad Graff made this shocking revelation on Higgins stating, “The Patriots will NOT be pursuing Tee Higgins this offseason.”But, what exactly happened? Why did the team abandon their intentions to pursue the soon-to-be hottest number-one choice in free agency? Well, there is only one reason for this. That’s none other than Eliot Wolf, the Patriots’ executive vice president of player personnel.

Actually, Wolf has taken the blame for the roster shape during the last season. Not only that, but he discussed how the roster could have been a major reason for the team’s four-win campaign. Which is why in 2025, Eliot Wolf will make a blueprint for the team’s roster beforehand. And as a result, he is putting together an excellent defensive and offensive line. But what does this have to do with Higgins? Well, the Vice President believes that these lines will be the team’s final choice, with no Tee Higgins in there.

So there you go. Now you see why the Patriots announced that they will not pursue Tee Higgins in 2025. And the timing of this news coming out could not have been worse. As the WR is already not having a great time showing his frustrations.

Tee Higgins is now not worried about not receiving a contract from the Bengals

Cincinnati’s roster decisions have kept fans on the edge of their seats. Major decisions involving Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are dangling by a thread. And with March approaching, there is not much time left for the team to make the decisions. So far there isn’t much on the decision, but people working in the front office of the team are looking optimistic. Just look at what Bengals Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin thinks of Tee Higgins. By simply reading them, you may presume the team will award the contract to the WR the next day. But did that turn out to be true?

NOPE! Tobin revealed that he wants the WR in the team and the demands for Higgins are there from the front office. He claimed in an interview, “I think Tee Higgins is a fantastic football player and I want him on my football team. Whenever I’m in charge of a football team, I want Tee Higgins, and so I’m going to do what I can to get Tee Higgins. Our preference with Tee Higgins is to do a long-term agreement. Always has been, it continues to be, and we’ll work hard to get that done.”

While this is a very positive feedback for Tee, the WR does not believe it to be true. Potentially the No. 1 free agent in the NFL this summer claimed these words were cap. He simply used a cap emoji to indicate that anything Tobin said was not true. This suggests that we might expect some additional delays in contract signing or probable release. What are your thoughts? Do you want to see Higgins with the Bengals? Or would you like to see him with another team?
