Bill Belichick’s future is rightly the most hotly debated topic in the NFL right now. After seeing remarkable success and 6 Super Bowl wins, the dynasty is now in shambles. And Belichick, being the General Manager as well as Head Coach of the New England Patriots, has a part to play in all of this. The team is 2-7 right now, going into week 10 of the regular season. With an international game up ahead in Germany, will he embarrass himself in front of his German audience?

But Belichick has a resume that is almost unparalleled in NFL history, and he deserves one more chance to prove himself. While there have been talks of letting him go, if he loses the game against the Indianapolis Colts, the ownership will be making a big mistake if it cuts Belichick loose.

Randy Moss was a 30-year-old wideout who had just come off the worst season of his career. Then, Bill’s Midas touch saw him setting a single-season record for receiving TDs at 23. He also recorded 18 100-yard or more receiving games in his career since playing under Belichick. TE Rob Gronkowski was also witness to the “Patriot Way”. He has caught at least 10 TD passes in 5 of his 7 seasons with the Pats.

It might be that Belichick is just having a spell of bad luck, which he will soon tide over. Till then, Patriots fans need to trust that their HC will give them the season that they deserve.
