Patriots fans in Western Mass, brace yourselves—Roger Goodell’s NFL’s left you to figure out how to catch the game.
New England’s gearing up for their big showdown against the Jags in London this weekend. The Pats are going global. But the league’s broadcast rules have pulled a cold act on some of their most loyal supporters.
The matchup kicks off at 9:30 a.m. EDT and will air nationally on NFL Network. That’s good news if you’re in the Pats’ official home market (Boston and as far west as Worcester County). But if you’re out in Western Mass, we have bad news. The game won’t be available on local TV. The NFL’s broadcast reach simply doesn’t extend that far west.

Per FCC’s broadcast coverage maps, even some fans in northwestern Worcester County and parts of Cape Cod might miss out on the WCVB signal. Meanwhile, southern New Hampshire, much of Rhode Island, and northeastern Connecticut are in luck—they’ll get WCVB coverage.
While commissioner Goodell teased expanding the sport globally during a forum in London, fans back home are left wondering why their own backyard’s been overlooked. Goodell hinted at hosting a Super Bowl overseas one day, saying, “We’ve always traditionally tried to play a Super Bowl in an NFL city… but things change. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if that happens one day.”
It’s a bold move for a league that’s never held a Super Bowl outside the U.S., but one that might make Western Mass fans feel like second-class citizens in their own country. So, now that the Patriots are going international, how can fans in Western Mass catch the Pats vs. Jags broadcast?

Patriots fans, it’s game time! But if you live outside the Boston area, finding the broadcast might be tougher than a Belichick playbook.

For fans in the Boston/Manchester Designated Market Area (DMA), catching the action should be easy. If you’re in Suffolk, Middlesex, or Windham (Vermont), you can catch the game on WCVB Channel 5. It will also air on NFL Network and is available on streaming services like fuboTV and NFL+.
But here’s the catch—Western Mass fans, you might be out of luck. If you’re in counties like Hampden or Berkshire, the NFL’s broadcast rules mean you won’t get the game on local TV. Your best bet? Tune in to NFL Network or explore streaming options to catch every snap.

For those in the Boston DMA, make sure to double-check NFL+ for game availability [on the NFL website]. It’s a solid alternative if WCVB or fuboTV isn’t in your lineup.
Bottom line—if you’re outside the Boston zone, don’t sweat it. With NFL Network in your corner, you’ll still be game-ready when the Patriots hit the field.
