The NFC Vs. AFC Pro Bowl roster for 2024 is out. While players like Brock Purdy, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson were the highlights of the list, some teams in the NFL failed to register even a single player from their 55-man roster for the Pro Bowl games. This included big names like the Green Bay Packers and the Washington Commanders. However, they aren’t the only team who did not join the Pro Bowl race.
The 6-time Super Bowl Champion also joins the list of teams to have zero Pro Bowl selection. A tweet from Joe Schad is circling on X and points out just how much the New England Patriots have been struggling this year. The tweet indicates that there actually might be no one from the Pats worth recommending to the Pro Bowl this year. Astonishingly, it’s not just the Patriots who have found themselves in this situation, one more team has added its name to the list.

The New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers have failed to induct any of their players in the Pro Bowl this year. The teams have joined the Green Bay Packers and the Washington Commanders in the list of teams that didn’t have any Pro Bowl selections this year. Last year, each of these teams had at least one contender participating in the Pro Bowl games.

This shift implies that there is probably instability within the teams, given their performance this season. Arguably, the Panthers and the Pats were among the worst-performing teams this year and therefore, have lost any chances at the Pro Bowl games, along with the Commanders.
These teams had at least one nomination last year and the Washington Commanders were the team with the third highest number of nominations last year. This year though, the team has gone through a lot of turbulence as they are dead last in the NFC East with an abysmal 4-12 record.
The team that had 5 Pro Bowl selections last year is on a 7-game losing streak this season.

The year before, the New England Patriots’ LB Matthew Judon participated in the Pro Bowl games. This year, he is on IR. The Packers had 2 nominations, the CB Jaire Alexander, and the guard Elgton Jenkins. The Panthers managed to squeeze in one of their own, the DE Brian Burns. But here is something interesting, the Commanders had 5! And this year not even one.
In 2023 Pro Bowl, Jonathan Allen the lineman along with the WR Terry McLaurin participated in the games. In addition to this, Daron Payne, Jeremy Reaves, and Tress Way were also nominated. The interesting thing is, all these players are still with the Commanders, but some of them are questionable to play or on IR, while some are active.

They finished 8-8 last year and the Pats were 8-9 by the time 2022 season ended. The Packers were also 8-9 and the Panthers did way better with a 7-10 record last year. There is a stark change and the teams have arguable worsened since last year, maybe except for the Packers who still exhibit a similar pattern with a current record of 8-8.
