Is the Chiefs-Bills rivalry the most intense in the NFL right now? What's your take?

The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs will try to continue their winning streak in Week 11. But this time, they face the Buffalo Bills, and, yes, the battle won’t be easy. Even Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes knows this, as he admitted being hated by the Bills fans. The two-time MVP Patrick Mahomes recently joined The Drive podcast with Carrington Harrison to discuss the upcoming game and how he sees the Buffalo team and fans.

When the host asked about the ‘extra motivation’ for the Chiefs while heading for Sunday’s game against a strong team, Mahomes replied, “It’s gonna take your best in order to win this football game. You’re playing against one of the best teams in the NFL…..and know every single time it seems like it comes down to the wire, and we’re going to be in the hostile environment. So we understand that it’s gonna take our best football in order to get the win. And that should be enough motivation in itself.

Provoked by the “hostile” environment, Harrison posed his next question to Patrick Mahomes, inquiring about how the quarterback ranked Buffalo’s stadium in terms of hostility. Guess what he would have replied? Yes! Mahomes admitted being hated in the Buffalo environment, as he has seen that on the field. On this question, he laughed a little, knowing how intense it can get there, as he mentioned, “I mean, they don’t like me a lot, and they don’t like the Chiefs a lot, so I’m sure it’ll be pretty hostile out there.

He knows the energy will be fierce, with fans all in on rattling the visiting team. But as it is said, that’s just part of the game. Next, he talked about being considered an “underdog,” despite the Chiefs’ championship titles. Patrick Mahomes brushed it off by saying that the NFL is a week-by-week battle, and past wins don’t matter if you aren’t performing now.

He even acknowledged they didn’t play their best last week but remains focused on bringing his top game this time around. So, it remains to see what comes next for the Red Army. Apart from that, the hatred will continue with each rivalry. But Mahomes knows as the Chiefs fans grew up disliking the teams who defeated them, similarly, other team’s fans will do so! Because it’s the NFL! But Patrick Mahomes’s friend might not like the hate coming from Buffalo.

Patrick Mahomes’s teammate is against the hates!

Remember, in January this year in the playoffs, many Bills fans called out Patrick Mahomes and Taylor Swift? Yes! The hateful remarks almost covered the Highmark Stadium. Hence, it didn’t sit well with Mahomes’s friend and teammate, Travis Kelce, who, in his January 24 podcast episode of New Heights, lashed back at the haters.

During the podcast talk, the tight end said, “There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium. Understandable. The Bills, we’re coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? 1000 percent. Did it get a little extra? 1000 percent.

Continuing his stance, Kelce expressed, “I’m not gonna say, because that’s what they want. I’m not going to relay it, but some things were said about the family. Some pretty inappropriate things were said about Pat Mahomes. It was pretty whack.

The 35-year-old Kelce acknowledged it’s like part of “coming into a hostile environment.” But in conclusion, he tried to settle the war by saying, “I respect it, but I just wanted to make sure that they knew it wasn’t mutual. I don’t hate you like you hate us. It’s all love, baby.”

The Chiefs are going to face off against the Bills on Sunday, November 17, once again at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, N.Y.
