Despite all the trash-talking on the field, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs showed good sportsmanship against the Baltimore Ravens. There was a brief moment that looked like an altercation between Patrick Mahomes and Justin Tucker, but that was all in good faith. However, his conversation with Lamar Jackson has all been on a positive note. Lamar Jackson had one heck of a season and Mahomes didn’t fail to acknowledge it in front of him.
The 2-time Super Bowl champ went on The Drive radio show and discussed all about the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens. As it was revealed, the QB knows about the experience of losing a title game, and he could relate with Lamar Jackson and had nothing but warm wishes for the Baltimore QB.

Patrick Mahomes feels Lamar Jackson has the right mindset
The Chiefs QB was asked whether he got to have a word with Lamar Jackson post-game. Patrick mentioned that he had a brief word with the Ravens QB. He congratulated Jackson for the kind of season he had and talked about how instrumental Lamar Jackson’s leadership skills had been till that point. Mahomes touched upon the possibility of Jackson becoming an MVP yet again.
“It was special and he’s gonna be having an MVP trophy and it was a remarkable season, uh, you gotta just continue to work and I think that he has that right mindset man. I mean he continues to get after it every single year and he keeps getting better and better every single year and I think you have to have, in order to be a champion in this league.” Said Mahomes about Jackson.
The conversation then shifted to the Justin Tucker incident and Patrick Mahomes tried to clarify the situation to the best of his ability. Safe to say that it wasn’t a “beef” of any kind.

Patrick Mahomes opens up about the Justin Tucker incident
The Chiefs QB mentioned that he didn’t take Tucker’s stuff being in the way as a big deal. For him, it might have been Tucker’s harmless way to get inside Patrick Mahomes’ head and he understood that. Mahomes told Tucker to move his stuff, so the kicker got up and moved it like “2 inches”.

This irritated Travis Kelce, so he decided to take things into his own hands and threw Tucker’s equipment away. Mahomes was “going to let it fly” but Kelce couldn’t. Despite all this, Mahomes mentioned that he has nothing but respect for Tucker and dubbed him as one of the best kickers in the league.
