After proudly donning the Super Bowl ring in the middle finger, Patrick Mahomes flaunted off his sparkling ornament towards the camera. Earlier, before the event, the 28-year-old spoke about how he will feel after getting the precious ring. And his answer was quite different from others, indicating why he is one of the best QBs. ESPN’s Michele Steele spoke to the Chiefs quarterback on the red carpet of the Super Bowl 58 ring ceremony.
She threw a genuine question to the man of the moment, asking, “where is your mind going to go to when you get home and you look at that ring and you stare at that ring for the first time what are you going to think of?” To which Mahomes replied, “I think, the first thing I’m going think of is how great last season was in the adversity we dealt with and then I’m going think about how I can get another one from the pinkie finger.” So, this means Mahomes is keeping an eye on his next Super Bowl win, especially when now that he has been seeing his ring.
The QB was donning a black tuxedo, accompanying it with a stylish chain and goggles, while Brittany Mahomes donned a hot pinkish fringe dress, pairing it with silver earrings and a matching purse. As Mahomes looked dashing, Brittany was asked whether Patrick is making the “dad bod” look cool again, after his “pinkie ring” answer. The mom of two supported her husband, saying, “yes he’s always made it cool.”
Now they have received their rings. However, it’s important to note that seeing the ring wasn’t easy for the Chiefs or others, as it was kept in a box with strong security.

They waited for the code ‘777!’
The event was attended by 400 people including players, coaches, staff, and their guests. So, the team faced a challenge in keeping the Super Bowl ring design a secret until its big reveal at the celebration. Before they received their rings, linebacker Nick Bolton mentioned hearing that this year’s ring is larger than the previous one and admitted trying to catch a glimpse of it for several days.

The rings were stored in boxes with a combination code lock to prevent early viewing. The code ‘777’ was disclosed in a video after Chiefs’ owner Clark Hunt’s speech. And as the excitement was real, all the guests present at the Museum started their countdown to finally get the code to open the box. Team president Mark Donovan explained their strategy to ensure each person sees the ring during dinner but doesn’t open it prematurely, emphasizing the importance of the unveiling moment.
And now, the Chiefs are aiming for another ring next year!
