You can’t just compete with Taylor Swift, can you? It’s like she is in a different league than everyone else. Whether it’s her fellow singers or even athletes having different capabilities. Swift just knows how to stay on top, like her songs on a weekly basis. And with the Super Bowl LIX in a few days, where Swift will be a spectator cheering for her beau Travis Kelce‘s Chiefs. She got a message from Patrick Mahomes, whose confession may resonate well among the Swifties but at the cost of Steph Curry.
Fulfilling media duties ahead of the Super Bowl LIX, Mahomes got an interesting question from one of the reporters. He was given three options: “You could either have Patrick Mahomes throwing abilities, Taylor Swift’s singing ability or Steph Curry’s shooting ability.” And was asked to pick one out of the three. A difficult choice, right? But for Mahomes, the answer was simple: “Taylor Swift’s singing ability and it’s not even close.” That was a surprising one.
Well, hearing Mahomes pick Swift, the reporter counter-questioned, “What about your arm, though?” Mahomes replied, “I mean, the arm’s awesome. But I am not inspiring billions and millions of people.” Maybe Mahomes is a bit harsh on himself. But the thing that really caught everyone’s attention is his take on Steph Curry. He refused to even give the NBA Superstar a chance to compete against Taylor Swift, “I mean, I love Steph, man. he is the greatest shooter of all time, but he’s not Taylor Swift.”

Yeah, right. Maybe Curry isn’t Swift. But unlike Mahomes, he sang praises about the Chiefs’ QB exactly one year ago. Speaking with the New York Post in an exclusive interview, Curry revealed, “If you know anything about the NFL and you watch games and pay attention to the news cycle. There are certain names that move the needle. And Patrick is obviously at the top of that list.” However, it seems like that despite Curry’s admiration for Mahomes, who has turned into the face of the NFL. The Chiefs’ QB doesn’t feel the same about Curry when Swift is in question.
But if you are going about viral pre-Super Bowl confessions. Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, also had one before the game in New Orleans.

Travis Kelce gets a bit emotional talking about Super Bowl
Some players wait their whole careers to play in just one Super Bowl. But for Travis Kelce, it’s almost a regular feeling now. This will be the Chiefs TE’s fifth Super Bowl appearance in his time with Kansas City. Winning 3 and losing one, Kelce has faced the highs and lows of playing at the grandest stage of all. But this time, his feelings are a little different. With the Chiefs aiming for an unprecedented 3-peat, Kelce made a vulnerable confession ahead of Super Bowl LIX. Speaking to the media, Kelce expressed, “I cried last week, getting ready for this moment, to come down here and chase history.”
Well, you can’t really blame Kelce for feeling a bit emotional. Because after everything he went through this season, from recording career-low numbers to yet another Super Bowl. The Chiefs TE has a massive opportunity to grab his 4th Lombardi and probably walk away with his head held high. Yeah, there have been retirement talks all season, considering Kelce’s lack of explosive compared to other seasons. However, it doesn’t look like the 35-year-old is looking to hang up his cleats anytime soon. “I think I still got a lot of football left in me. I think this year has been one of the special years of my life, I think it’s gonna continue to make me want to do more in the football world.”

Pulling in just 823 passing yards and 3 TDs isn’t a special year. But it’s Kelce we are talking about. He would surely know how to turn it around if he does come back next year. And who knows, he will probably be more hungry for yet another Super Bowl or wait for vengeance if he doesn’t win one this year.
