Can celebrity endorsements truly transform the fate of a small-town high school football team?

The NFL players and their families often donate to charities and take care of many underprivileged children and families. However, when the cause is football-related, the camaraderie is of another level. It was on full display lately. This time, Rob Gronkowski and Patrick Mahomes‘ mother Randi Mahomes have joined hands for a generous endeavor.

Gronk started it on the 17th of October when he posted an Instagram video about the Crest Ridge High School of Kansas. The school needs an upgrade in its football field, for which it entered a Friday Night 5G Lights contest which has a multi-million dollar prize money.

The school had entered the top-16 round and was hoping for some celebrity to support them. And they found it. Rob Gronkowski, the NFL great, came out to help them. He requested the Kansas community to rally behind the school and vote for them in the contest.

Now, the home celebrity has come out. Super bowl MVP’s mother Randi Mahomes shared an Instagram story, in which she requested the viewers to vote for the high school and wrote, “Help these guys out and like this original post!” The school has a rich history as well.

The High School football field was built by the local farmers in 1982. The ground has a hump in the middle, which was reduced in the early 2000s but hasn’t been heavily upgraded. Over time, the press box, the locker room, and the stands have become outdated and aren’t able to hold the people who come in the games. Hence, the school has entered the contest.

However, they have a good chance of winning it now after Rob Gronkowski and Patrick Mahomes‘ mother have endorsed them.

Patrick Mahomes’ mother calls him ‘the best dad’

The MVP is known for one thing besides his exploits on the gridiron. His love for family! Though many football players have expressed love for their wives and children on various occasions, Patrick Mahomes made eyes roll when he once said that he could leave football for his family. That’s not happening today.

He’s enjoying the family time and the game of football. After week 5 against Saints, the Chiefs quarterback had a special message for his daughter Sterling and said, “I want to tell my daughter Sterling so, hey Sterling, go to bed.” Even his mama found it funny. While retweeting it, she wrote, “Awe!!! I love this so much. He certainly is the best dad! I love my family.

The Mahomes family is a close-knit one. Chiefdom knows it. It is one of the biggest strengths of the MVP. All of them are hoping for only one thing this year. A 3-peat. Can he lead them to create the biggest feat in the NFL? Only time will tell.
