The Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are going through a challenging phase. And this can be clearly seen in the eyes of Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs lost to the Buffalo Bills 17-20 on Sunday. This loss marked about a 1% decrease in their playoff chances from 99.5% to 98%. Amid all these, the sidelines were visibly distressed due to the Chiefs’ defeat.
Controversial calls are arguably robbing the Chiefs of victory in back-to-back games. Previously, they faced three controversial calls in the Green Bay Packers game, including the two hindrances by the defensive ends, who intervened in the ways of Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Travis Kelce while catching a pass. Now, they encountered another incident of a penalty that could have assisted the Chiefs in tying the game with Josh Allen’s team, potentially improving Mahomes’ record against Allen.

The teams have faced each other 54 times, including five post-season games. The Bills now have 29 wins over the Chiefs’ 24 victories. They also had tied once in 1963. However, this Sunday’s contest would be imprinted in the team’s minds, especially Patrick Mahomes’ Red Army.
After Kadarius Toney’s successful run to the end zone and Travis Kelce’s brilliant lateral pass attempts failed, Patrick Mahomes was seen fuming on the sidelines. After their failed efforts and Mahomes’ other three pass attempts, the Chiefs’ QB was seen throwing his helmet in frustration, yelling at the referees, and crying while screaming. Toney’s offside position, flagged in the fourth quarter’s final minutes, gave the Bills an advantage.
Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes are now 3-3 against each other all-time.
Today, Allen left Mahomes in tears as the Bills improve to 7-6 and the Chiefs drop to 8-5.
Allen is now 3-1 against Mahomes in the regular season and 0-2 against Mahomes in the playoffs.

With this win, new records have been set in the NFL between the two rivals. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes have now won and lost against each other three times each. According to the video shared by NFL Rookie Watch, “Today, Allen left Mahomes in tears as the Bills improve to 7-6 and the Chiefs drop to 8-5. Allen is now 3-1 against Mahomes in the regular season and 0-2 against Mahomes in the playoffs.” Furthermore, the Chiefs now have 3 defeats in the last four games, a relatively low score the Chiefs have ever experienced in NFL history.
In a post-game conference, the reigning MVP was disappointed, saying, “I’ve played seven years in the National Football League and never had offensive offsides called. You want until a minute left to make a call like that?” Mahomes also clarified that he felt terrible for Travis Kelce, whose Hall of Fame career would have been buoyed with this incredible touchdown.
Mahomes’ meltdown on the field indicated that he felt terrible about his teammates’ efforts going into vain.

In the game’s final minutes, on 2nd-and-10, it looked like the Chiefs were about to take the lead. Travis Kelce caught a pass from Patrick Mahomes and threw a lateral pass to Kadarius Toney, who ran for a 49-yard touchdown.
However, the play was canceled because Toney was penalized for being outside. After that, Mahomes tried three more passes, but they were incomplete, so the Chiefs lost possession of the ball. As a result, the Bills won the game.
