In the week 15 game against the Browns in 2024 season, Patrick Mahomes fell down. The Browns defenders fell down on him. Everyone was shocked when he limped off the field. Frightened fans prayed for him to not get seriously injured. And asked if he would play in the next games or not. But the Chiefs quarterback came strong and played the remaining games except the week 18 game against the Broncos.

Times when Showtime hurt himself on the field

In October 2016, while playing for the Texas Tech in NCAA, the quarterback injured the scaphoid bone in his left wrist. But he persevered and played in the final 5 games. In the league, a major blow came during the divisional game against the Browns in the 2020 season.

He first suffered a pedal toe turf in his foot. But a game-ending first grade concussion in the 3rd quarter of the divisional game made his worlds wobble. After the game, HC Andy Reid had a tinge of sarcasm and said, “He got hit in the back of the head and it kind of knocked the wind out of him and everything else with it, didn’t it?” But Patrick Mahomes later played in the next AFC Championship game.

In the week 13 game against the Bengals in 2022 season, his pedal foot bruise injury re-surfaced in the 4th quarter. 2 years later, against the Browns in the week 15 in 2024, he also played through pedal ankle sprain/pull. However, these were the minor injuries.

In his 8 seasons as the main quarterback of the Chiefs, he suffered many major injuries. And the Chiefdom wasn’t at all happy at those times.
