Patrick Mahomes’s mom, Randi Mahomes never fails to disclose an insider look into her son’s lifestyle along with his pre-NFL days. From revealing her struggles raising three children as a single mom to sharing an insight into the close bonds her kids have, Randi has been open about all the details surrounding the family.

Recently, on June 21, 2024, the matriarch of the Mahomes clan attended “The Mom Game Podcast,” where she shed light on the Kansas City Chiefs QB’s stubborn nature, much like Randi herself. She further highlighted a reason why the two of them used to fight and how the mother of three at last solved that issue. During the podcast, when the host asked about the biggest things or arguments ever happened between her and Super Bowl champion son, with no delay, the mother of three spilled the beans over the same.

“My biggest thing was we had to be at church on Sunday. I thought if I couldn’t teach them that, maybe they would hear something there and all the way through college. In college, Patrick and I used to fight, not fight, but I was the mom who thought when he came in, he needed to see me. Of course, I’m like, I love my kids, but they don’t want to hang out with their parents. So, I would decide. He would be like, ‘I’m glad I was in your house.’ I’m like, ‘You slept for three hours and then you left.’ It was like you slept. And so, we got to a point where I said if you’re at church on Sunday, then we won’t argue,” revealed Randi.

Apart from that, she also unveiled Patrick’s stubbornness that Randi believes the QB has inherited from her only, “It was just something that I knew I couldn’t share with him. He’s stubborn sometimes, like me, and if he didn’t want to listen to me, he would get something there.”

This is not the first time the 52-year-old has lifted the curtain on her MVP son’s personal life. Many times before, Mahomes’ mother spoke up about his spiritual journey, displaying her strong bond with him. When the biggest cheerleader and constant supporter of Patrick was asked about her best moments during worship in the church she would never forget, the proud NFL mom answered, “I will say, when you ask me about a moment that I’ll never forget, or that he won’t forget, my proudest moment of anything he’s ever done was when he got saved. I felt like I did what God wanted me to do, and that’s the moment that I — that’s my very proudest moment. Seeing him be baptized and become a Christian, that is the moment. That’s my very proudest moment.”

She also expressed her experience when she visited a Baptist church with Patrick: “It was a Baptist church, I believe, but it was really close to the stadium. It was really close, and I remember we went, and he took me. That was a moment when I was like, ‘Okay.’”
