Travis Kelce is back for the last dance. Boy, oh boy! He’s fired up to take revenge for this year’s loss, which crushed once-in-a-lifetime hopes of a 3-peat—something that would have guaranteed them a place in the league’s history books. In New Orleans, the Chiefs‘ tight end was seen drowned in his own tears. His shoulders dropped as quarterback Patrick Mahomes failed to lead his team across the finish line. But things have changed this year. It’s a fight for redemption. A quest for glory. Every player needs to be at the top of his game—and the TE is making sure of that.

On Saturday, the signal-caller shared a video with fans, showing himself working out in drills as his coach observed. He ran, jumped, and mimicked the throwing motion. He’s also getting ready to rock on the revenge tour. This season will witness the QB-TE duo going all-in. The hype carried over to Instagram, where Travis Kelce commented on the video with, “🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥”

While everyone is thrilled with his return, Mahomes’s coach and personal trainer, Bobby Stroupe, acknowledged the tight end’s energy. He replied with a simple three-word message: “See you soon.”

It’s official—the Chiefs’ camp is elated about the TE’s return for the 2025 season. After all the retirement talk, he’s back, chasing that Lombardi Trophy one more time.

Even Travis Kelce is trying to get back in peak shape for the season. He also practiced on Saturday with college players quarterback Brayden Doss (PACE Academy High School) and wide receiver Jazz Lewis (Chamblee High School). Both looked happy to train with the legendary TE. That’s a prominent sign for the Chiefs’ head coach, Andy Reid, who is trying to sign up an excellent replacement.

The only thing he wants is to go out on a winning note. Last year, the Chiefs missed their starters due to injuries. They wouldn’t want to make the same mistakes this year.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes lead the Chiefs to redemption, or is the dynasty dream over?

Have an interesting take?

Will Travis Kelce retire in 2025 or play the entire season?

The franchise is aiming for his replacement, Tyler Warren, as the retirement is also looming big. If he plays another season like last year, his worst since the rookie year, things might change anytime. Andy Reid might have to bench him to try the newer talent. In that case, he could retire and leave the franchise.

After refining his route-running as a receiver, Warren finally emerged as the perfect replacement for Travis Kelce last season. The Penn State tight end started all 16 games, recording 104 receptions for 1,233 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. In comparison, the Chiefs legend managed 97 receptions for 822 yards and 3 touchdowns. Given those numbers, the AFC West team will certainly want Warren on the field.

However, what will happen if he doesn’t play up to the league standards? Will they still play him or bench him? What will his reaction be? These are the kinds of questions that require deep thinking and honest answers before anyone can simply “play along.” There is a fair share of challenges that need to be addressed before moving on to the next steps of rebuilding.
