Ever since the Chiefs won the Super Bowl this year, the team has been in some rather hot water. While Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have managed to stay out of trouble, a few of their teammates found themselves in the spotlight with some controversies and even legal issues. From Rashee Rice’s run-in with the law to the newly drafted Xavier Worthy, a lot of the team’s players have been a little caught up this offseason.

Now, just a couple of days ago, a post on X (formerly Twitter) revealed that Isaiah Buggs was facing two misdemeanor charges in Tuscaloosa. Shortly after someone accused the defensive tackle of animal cruelty for leaving two dogs locked on his property without any food or water, authorities issued warrants. While the 27-year-old took responsibility for his actions and turned himself in to be booked, he was lucky – the authorities released him with a $300 bond for each charge.

Trey Robinson, Buggs’ agent, also put out a statement claiming, “The dogs at issue did not belong to him and he was unaware they remained at the property in question.”While no one can say what could have led to the abandonment of the dogs, the court will summon the defensive tackle to a hearing on June 13th to try to set the record straight.

However, it might already be a little too late. After all, once the news of Buggs’ legal trouble made its way online, fans could not help but give the Kansas City Chiefs a brand new nickname.

NFL fans compare the Chiefs to the Raiders

Over the last few years, the Las Vegas Raiders have made somewhat of a name for themselves as the bad boys of the NFL world. Nate Hobbs, Josh Jacobs, and even Henry Ruggs made headlines for DUIs and even one that resulted in a death, causing people to dub the team the bad boys of football. However, with the Chiefs, that opinion may have just changed.

After the news of Isaiah Buggs’ charges made their way online, fans immediately took to the comments to share their thoughts on the situation. While some people outraged at the athlete’s behavior, some claimed that the Kansas team could take over the Raiders’ infamous nickname.

While some fans were more focused on Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs slowly turning into the Raiders, there were also some who hinted that Buggs’ behavior was not that surprising as he too had been a part of the Las Vegas team during his NFL career.

Apart from that, even a few Raiders fans wound up joining the comments section to give some advice to the Chiefs fans who were losing their minds online.

Everyone seemed to be focusing on something different. However, the one thing that everyone seemed to agree on was the fact the Chiefs were officially taking over the Raiders as the bad boys of the NFL.
