Things are getting heated for Jackson Mahomes after he got embroiled in legal issues in May 2023. He is not exactly a darling of the fans right now. Fresh developments have come to light since then, and it is getting worse for the QB1’s brother day by day. His lawyer, Brandan Davies, is leaving no stone unturned to rid his client of the charges. Also, his breaking the pretrial requisites has landed him in some problems as well.
This has gone so far that fans are advising Taylor Swift to stay away from Mahomes. He was seen celebrating with Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes recently at the GEHA Stadium when the KC Chiefs went against the LA Chargers. It looks like these recent developments in his case will not let Jackson Mahomes rest that easily.

The Jackson Mahomes case
According to the recent developments, the preliminary hearing for the case of assault and battery has been pushed to January, a delay of a month. This came after Jackson Mahomes breached the pretrial agreement, which required him to not engage with the witnesses in any capacity. Judge Thomas Sutherland has also contracted COVID-19. The witnesses include some of his close friends, whom he could not see or speak to.
Jackson’s lawyer, Brandan Davies, asked for a 30-day continuance in the case, which was granted. However, Judge Sutherland and Brandan Davies have conflicting schedules, so the trial is set to be postponed till January 3, 2024, starting at 1:30 p.m. Sources say that he has been tested for drugs and alcohol since May, following a case in February when he ‘forcibly kissed’ an Overland Park restaurant owner and ‘assaulted’ a waiter in the same restaurant.

The victim’s lawyer, Megan Ahsens, maintains a strict opinion of Jackson Mahomes not being allowed to see any witnesses or victims as a pretrial condition.
The restaurant remains closed after getting negative publicity from the case. However, the social media influencer remains free on a $100,000 bond.
Jackson Mahomes was spotted in the company of Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes in the LA Chargers game, and the fans weren’t thrilled about it. He might show up in the next game against the Denver Broncos.
The Chiefs gear up to battle the Broncos
The 6-1 Chiefs are going against 2-5 Broncos, and it looks like a game that shouldn’t be much of a problem for the Kansas team. The Chiefs stand first in the AFC West and are doing well in the 2023 season. Taylor Swift has supported the Chiefs squad since the start of the regular season. Maybe that’s where Travis Kelce gets his unbeatable flair from.

As the game approaches, the Broncos are pressured more and more to win. At this rate, they are not expected to go anywhere near the playoffs and might get eliminated for good. Both teams are doing well as far as the injury reports are concerned. But with all the key players active in the Chiefs arsenal, the Broncos are about to have a hard time on the field.
