Seeing the biggest stars of the NFL watching high school football is something that doesn’t happen often. But in Kansas City, it’s a tradition as Patrick Mahomes was joined in by his wife Brittany and they watched Matt Nagy and Dave Merritt’s sons play at Blue Valley. With Chris Jones, Andy Reid and other Chiefs players sitting on the sidelines. Mahomes brought his son Bronze to share a special moment that runs deep in their family.

Aside from the NFL, which enthralls fans with nail-biting action every Sunday, there is college football that takes place on Saturdays. However, besides those two, Mahomes decided to treat his son with some high school football before the Chiefs take on the 49ers this week. Enjoying their bye week, Brittany shared an Instagram story of Mahomes with Bronze at a high school football game captioned, “Friday night lights.”

Well, Mahomes even reposted that story on his Instagram while showing his happiness in continuing this small tradition in Kansas City. Going back to 2022, when Mahomes still had only one Super Bowl title by him. He was seen attending high school football with his wife Brittany at Blue Valley. When asked about his thoughts on why he attends such games, the Chiefs QB shared, “I got to go to Ted’s son’s high school football game a couple of weeks back. I know you know Ted, he is our PR guy. His son, I’ve been here for six years now so I’ve seen him grow up and he’s starting in varsity so I went and watched him play.”

While Ted Crew’s son Tesdell played for Christ Prep in 2022, Mahomes ensured he also attended QB coach Matt Nagy’s son’s high school game, “I went and watched Nagy’s sons. Luckily enough for me. Brittany loves sports as much as I do. So a couple of guys, we went out there and got to watch some high school football.” Coming onto Nagy’s sons Brayden and Tate, one of them is the starting QB while the other plays at CB.

As Patrick Mahomes showcased his love for high school football by carrying on the tradition this week. One player’s absence seemingly caught the eye of many. Travis Kelce was nowhere to be seen. He missed out on joining his bestie Mahomes but also missed his girlfriend’s Eras Tour in Miami on Friday.

Although there wasn’t any prior indication of Kelce attending the high school game at Blue Valley. Him not being present at his girlfriend’s concert is something that no one expected. Having jetted around the world to catch Swift on her Eras Tour, Kelce’s absence in Miami did raise questions about their relationship.

Even recently, in July, the Chiefs TE was captured in Germany to watch her year-long Eras Tour before joining back with his team to prepare for this season. Well, going back to last week, Kelce and Swift were spotted having a lavish dinner in NYC alongside Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively on a double date. The two were also spotted cuddling and smooching each other as they watched the Yankees vs Guardians game on Monday night.

And to make his absence more surprising, the whole of Kelce’s family was present at Hard Rock Stadium on Friday. Kelce’s mother, Donna, his brother Jason, and his wife, Kylie, with their two children, Wyatt and Elliote, were captured together in Miami. Although Jason and Kylie had attended Swift’s concert previously, this marked the first time Donna watched Swift perform live.

This makes us question if something is going on between the two that might have led to Travis missing her concert on Friday. Or is this just another day of page six talk that doesn’t materialize into something else? Guess we will find out soon, as the couple can’t seem to keep themselves out of the news since they started dating together in the summer of 2023.
