In the NFL world, there are always certain players who wind up being declared the league’s public enemies. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady had found themselves on it numerous times. However, the torch has been passed to quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers. After all, both the Jets and the Chiefs’ athletes had managed to keep their teams on top of the division.

In a recent episode of Pro Football Talk, hosts Mike Florio and Myles Simmons opened up about which players they thought were the NFL’s public enemies. The journalist went with what he thought was the “obvious option,” as he chose Mahomes. The former guard said that the 28-year-old had made the Kansas City Chiefs so good, “that’s what makes them a public enemy.” However, his co-host, Florio did not see it that way. Instead, he added, “I would not encourage hating Patrick Mahomes.”

After that, it was once again Simmons’ turn to add a player to the list. This time the journalist ended up choosing the New York Jets‘ quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. He stated, “I don’t know if I need to say much more other than Aaron Rodgers, just based on some of the things that we’ve heard him say over the course of the last, let’s call it two years or so. “

With the quarterback being known for his skills as a QB for the Green Bay Packers for 18 seasons, the sudden change seemed to shock everybody. Even Patrick Mahomes was brought into it when Logan Paul asked the 28-year-old what he thought about the whole thing. The father of two stated, “I’m not gonna say I’m into all the crazy ones. I just know, out of all of them, one or two might be true.”

Mahomes also referenced the 40-year-old’s University of California education before adding, “That’s Aaron Rodgers’ vibe; I’m not him.” The younger quarterback might look up to Rodgers on the field. However, he has ensured that the similarities stayed there.
