Y’all notice how hyped-up Elon Musk has been these days? Must be all the free speech his platform advertises that has him running without restrictions. But this isn’t about all that. The soon-to-be trillionaire crossed paths with Pat McAfee after one of the videos of the sportscaster was copyright struck by X and now, McAfee wants some answers.
So, why the copyright strike? McAfee invited Jelly Roll, the country singer who just made it to Billboard 200’s No. 1 album with his creation, “Beautifully Broken,” to his show. He uploaded the snippet of their conversation on X and now the video has been taken down for a very strange reason.
McAfee posted the video of Jelly Roll talking about his experience in the music industry and how he’s “hands-on” with the ongoings of the industry. The video was uploaded on November 8 and was shortly taken down. “The media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner,” says the post on X.

What’s this all about @elonmusk?
I own my progrum.. I wouldn’t file a DMCA against myself. https://t.co/XMvPUa62Xc

But Pat McAfee is the copyright owner, why would he strike his own post down? If Jelly Roll showed up to his show, there shouldn’t be a problem, right? This has got Pat McAfee confused and perhaps a bit angry. He sought clarification directly from Elon Musk when he reposted the deleted video and asked, “What’s this all about @elonmusk?”
The former Colts punter also clarified that “I own my program… I wouldn’t file a DMCA against myself.” He hasn’t elicited a response from Musk yet, but we doubt the tech mogul will get back to him. Or maybe he will, considering how active he is on X.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Elon Musk's platform too chaotic, or is this just a bizarre copyright blunder?

But while McAfee’s troubles on X are easily fixable, there’s some trouble between him and Stephen A. Smith that might take some time to reach an amicable resolution.
Are Pat McAfee and Stephen A. Smith ‘enemies?’
It’s a fact that McAfee is the highest-paid sportscaster on ESPN and being a former NFL player, has connections with people like JJ Watt, Aaron Rodgers, and many others. Stephen A. on the other hand is the leading NBA authority on ESPN. McAfee mentioned some time earlier that he’s been having trouble booking NBA talent for his show and Stephen A. might be the reason behind it.
Now Adrian Wojnarowski will soon part ways with ESPN and will be replaced by Shams Charania. So, McAfee will have a chance to expand its talent pool. He and Charania go way back. Former ESPN employee Dan Dakich tried to shed some light on the matter on his podcast ‘Don’t @ Me’ and revealed that Stephen A. Smith and McAfee might be “enemies.”

“McAfee’s the enemy at ESPN,” Dakich said. “Not among (chairman Jimmy) Pitaro and (ESPN president of content) Burke Magnus and the rest of the suits, no, no, no. He is the enemy of the ESPNers who are African-American and are siding with Stephen A. Smith. True story.”
There is more to this. Stephen A. wants to become the highest-paid broadcaster in the American sports verse. And say what, Pat McAfee is in the way. Stephen A. wasn’t afraid to justify why he deserves a $100 million contract after ESPN offered him a 5-year $90 million extension back in June, which he turned down. McAfee on the other hand is the highest-paid employee on ESPN with his 5-year $85 million deal.
