There are endless questions surrounding Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. Will the Pats win the next game? Will they stay around for the playoffs? And more importantly, what is Bill Belichick’s future with the New England Patriots? By now, everyone would have seen a statement floating around that Robert Kraft would fire Belichick by the end of the season.

On his show, Pat McAfee pointed out that Chris Long of the Green Light show tweeted that, per Tom E. Curran, the decision to fire Belichick had already been made. This happened when the Patriots were going against the Colts in Germany. People later debunked the theory, and there might have been circumstantial truth to the statement.

Pat McAfee stated the truth and mentioned that the information to Curran didn’t come from Robert Kraft directly. Though he is a seasoned insider for NBC Boston, this particular news wasn’t a fact and “something he’d heard then.” McAfee asked one of his hosts, who spoke to Tom E. Curran regarding the situation, and he clarified the whole thing.

The host mentioned of Curran, “He said as of that time in Germany that the decision kind of already had been made based on who he is talking to in terms of his sources. He didn’t mention whether it was in the organization, just sources that he has close to the team that would be in the know.”

He added, “Things could change, it’s possible things could. But he said if you look at post-Colts game like thanks haven’t got any better.” The Pats won against the Steelers, but that isn’t a reason to celebrate. It might be too late in the season to start winning and celebrating.

When Jim Irsay lost to the Pats, he immediately fired the HC and brought in a new coach. However, it’s not clear at this point whether Robert Kraft will do the same. A few hours ago, Sports Illustrated put out an article, and it looks like a credible one. Belichick said“I’m getting ready for Kansas City.” Belichick’s team didn’t make it to playoffs for the third consecutive time, and it’s safe to say that the Patriots’ Way is no more.
