Pat McAfee apologized to the veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers in his Pittsburgh way when he graced his show. The friendship started in the Bahamas during a golf tournament four years ago and is growing stronger than ever. After suffering an Achilles injury in the first game of the season, A-Rod has stayed out of the action throughout. On his road to recovery, he loves to spend time with McAfee on his afternoon show.
The four-time Super Bowl champ is becoming synonymous with the popular show and regularly gives valuable insights. This week, McAfee was surprised after seeing A-Rod’s new look and appreciated the effort in a subtly comic manner.

In the latest episode, McAfee introduced the legendary veteran, acknowledging that he was selected in the Active Roster. As Rodgers came on the screen, McAfee was shocked when he saw him in his new avatar and exclaimed, “Baby face, super baby face.”
Rodgers knew the reason and cheekily tried to ignore the conversation first by asking, “What’s going on, guys?” McAfee pointed out the new clean look and stayed firm on his stance, “Something is different, right? What happened?“ Rodgers tried his best to control his laughter and again tried to divert the topic and gave his Christmas wishes. McAfee started clapping and appreciated A-Rod, “You look amazing. You look 20-30 years younger!“

He remarked about A-Rod’s age: “Not that you look 20-30 years older, you look like a super baby face.” Aaron Rodgers interrupted McAfee and gave a sarcastic reply with a smile, “I think I did; that’s why I probably shave.” McAfee knew the reason, responded quickly, and tried to explain his meaning that he was praising the veteran QB. Aaron Rodgers replied, “That’s kind of a backhanded compliment.”

Pat McAfee brought up an incident where Arty Smith said the same thing to him. McAfee lowered his stance, “I don’t mean to always do this, but it does appear to be the way I speak.” He quickly recalled his origins and apologized, “I’m from Pittsburgh, I apologize,” and gave his Christmas wishes to Rodgers for the 30-28 win of the Jets against the Commanders on the big day.

The Jets will face the resurgent Browns at the Cleveland Browns Stadium this Thursday. Further in the episode, A-Rod appreciated the Browns’ best find of the season.
