Touchdowns were not the only casualties for the Cleveland Browns this week. After star QB Deshaun Watson got sidelined with season-ending shoulder surgery, the Browns’ injury report got longer than the Sunday playbook. Enter quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, trying to fill Watson’s cleats. But alas, the pigskin gods had a different play in mind. During the Sunday showdown against the Denver Broncos, in the midst of a gritty third-down scramble, Thompson-Robinson found himself caught in the Denver storm. Attempting a pass on the run, the relentless force of linebacker Baron Browning met him, delivering a high hit.
With Thompson-Robinson benched due to a concussion, the Browns are facing more hurdles than a receiver in double coverage. But fear not, Browns Nation! It’s not game over; it’s just a strategic timeout. The playbook is getting a swift update, and the Dawg Pound is ready to bark even louder.

Breaking the huddle on ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’ Adam Schefter just flipped the playbook on the Cleveland Browns’ next move after a double whammy of quarterback setbacks.
“I think there’s a real possibility that the Browns could go to Joe Flacco this week if DTR can’t get through concussion protocol..
I think they’re comfortable with Flacco and I wouldn’t rule out him starting on Sunday”@AdamSchefter #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/1E0hoX4lYH

Pat McAfee dropped a bomb on ‘X’ with a clip from the conversation. Captioned, “I think there’s a real possibility that the Browns could go to Joe Flacco this week if DTR can’t get through concussion protocol… I think they’re comfortable with Flacco and I wouldn’t rule out him starting on Sunday,” McAfee spilled the tea.
In the video, McAfee threw the pigskin question at Schefter, pointing straight to Joe Flacco as the potential savior under the center. But even though Schefter is waving the Flacco flag with confidence, head coach Kevin Stefanski isn’t ready to punch that ticket just yet.
It’s a high-stakes chess match in Cleveland, and the quarterback carousel is spinning faster than a trick play. But the Browns aren’t calling an audible just yet.

QB Carousel: Joe Flacco could be the fourth maestro for the Browns
The Cleveland Browns’ play-caller-in-chief, Kevin Stefanski, faced the press when grilled about the potential QB switch-up for the December 3 clash against the Rams. With the finesse of a well-executed flea-flicker, Stefanski kept it short and sweet, offering a two-word teaser to reporters: “We’ll see.”
Now, if Joe Flacco, the man with a Super Bowl MVP trophy on his shelf from 2013, does don the orange and brown, Stefanski will be adding a seasoned veteran to the Dawg Pound roster. If Flacco gets the nod, he’d be the fourth maestro to orchestrate the offensive symphony for the Browns this season. With Stefanski’s ‘We’ll see’ as the ultimate cliffhanger, can Joe Flacco be the hero Cleveland needs? Get ready for the next play because, in the NFL, adversity is just another opportunity for a game-winning drive. The game plan might be tweaked, but the Browns are still in it to win it!
