According to Dov Kleiman’s latest tweet on X, the Carolina Panthers are looking into the prospect of signing the veteran Blake Martinez. It might be a little late for the sore Panthers to heal themselves, as they have become one of the worst performing teams in the league quickly, this season.
Whether they will be able to get rid of the blemishes with this move remains unknown. However, undoubtedly, Martinez will put on a Panthers jersey to work out with them on Oct. 25 as the process is still in the pipeline.
He started his career with the Green Bay Packers and has also played for the New York Giants and the Las Vegas Raiders as well. The LB retired from the league in 2022 after playing 4 games with the Las Vegas Raiders that year.

Martinez has amassed 443 solo tackles and 13 sacks in his career before he said goodbye to the league. Though as he is playing to make a comeback, it is salient to note other ventures he had tried his hand at.
One prominent among them is that he started a company called Blake’s Breaks, specializing in reselling rare Pokémon cards. However, things went downhill for him quickly and his business took a serious hit.

Martinez established a business called ‘Blake’s Breaks’ on a platform called ‘Whatnot’. The company focuses on reselling rare, collector’s edition Pokémon cards on the platform. However, he was soon under the suspicion of scamming the buyers and the community was on him after certain people flagged his account. Whatnot decided to ban Blake Martinez permanently from their platform following some irregularities in his operations.
The company was doing really well, and Martinez also made over $11 million in revenue, but the walls came trickling down on him after the suspicions started rising. Whatnot was kind enough to provide refunds to the people who were scammed. A wholesome gesture indeed. Following this unsuccessful business venture, Martinez decided to return to the NFL to make a mark once again.
