The singer and rapper, Lil Wayne, got enigmatic while talking about Aaron Rodgers! The “Lollipop” songwriter has shown support for his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers, since 1997. His support for the team didn’t subside even after Aaron Rodgers’ exit.

Although he grew up in New Orleans, Wayne developed his love for the Packers when his dad attended Super Bowl XXXI. His dad brought back Packers’ merchandise, which the singer used every day. Since then, he has been to many of the Green Gang’s games and even led out the players on his 41st birthday. Additionally, his love for the team was evident when he released a remix of the song “Black and Yellow” titled “Green and Yellow” to support his team in the Super Bowl 2011. Being a great fan for years, Wayne had an enigmatic response to revealing his favorite moment of A-Rod.

In the latest episode of The Carton Show, Craig Carton and the crew were joined by rapper Lil Wayne to talk about his love for the Packers, along with mentioning Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers’ names. When asked about his experience attending last time’s Packers game against the Lions, that too from the sidelines, putting the team’s jersey on, Wayne gave a cryptic response, digging on A-Rod.

He said, “Come on man. I’ve been on the sideline before. Though one time, I was on the sideline, Aaron was right there, he was warming his hands about to go in, that was my for me, that was my personal favorite like, oh you about to go out there and go crazy now.” On this, the hosts took a pause and then laughed at Wayne’s potential joke.

As per the fans, by this statement, the rapper could mean his genuine love for seeing Rodgers on the sidelines, or he might be playful in mocking Rodgers.

Does Lil Wayne hate Aaron Rodgers?

When Aaron Rodgers was with the Packers in his final years, rapper Lil Wayne turned on the quarterback. In January 2023, during A-Rod’s Packer era, Wayne, known for his strong support of the team, expressed frustration with the four-time MVP. During a game, the Packers needed to win against the Lions to secure a playoff spot, but they lost. Wayne tweeted his disappointment, questioning when the team will be “done” with Rodgers. He tweeted, “Man as a Packers fan, all I can say is RELAPSE. I’ve been done with 12 (Rodgers).12 been done with football. Now when the f*** are they going to be done with 12???????!!!!! Idk but GO PACK GO.

This itself suggests Wayne being an ardent fan of the Packers, and he wanted Rodgers to be out. However, that’s because any team’s fans would want it if their team lost the game closely, close to winning the championships. Additionally, after Rodgers’ Packer’s exit, when asked Wayne if he misses the quarterback, the singer replied, “Not very much at all. Yeah, because as a Packer fan, we know how to move on. It’s impossible to be, you shouldn’t hold on to, I mean, I would have had to become a Jet fan.”
