Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are two of the Chiefs’ lethal weapons. The Chiefs‘ quarterback-tight end duo are bound close to each other for multiple reasons, and the two Super Bowls are merely recent additions. Their off-field brotherhood was always off the charts, and the TE was one of Mahomes’ Groomsmen. Even his then-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole was Brittany Mahomes’ Bridesmaid. But that was just the beginning.

With two Super Bowls came increasing responsibilities, and the Gridiron duo shared between them successfully. In recent times, may it be a touchdown or co-owning a racing team, the two have combined enthusiastically. Kelce’s belle Taylor Swift also goes along well with Brittany Mahomes, and are often spotted cheering for their men together from the crowd. While Kelce prepares for a battle with kin Jason Kelce in their coming match, his football brother Patrick Mahomes has shared the value he possesses in their relationship.

ESPN’s Jeff Darlington sat down with Patrick Mahomes ahead of their Eagles match. The quarterback talked about various things surrounding the franchise recently, such as the Taylor Swift effect and the upcoming Mini Bowl. But Mahomes’ face glowed up as soon as Darlington mentioned Kelce as if he was waiting to talk about him.

“I honestly feel like he’s my brother. I mean, I talk about his family and my family have almost become one family… Because the relationship that we have, and how we’ve kind of become these brothers on the football field”, Mahomes went transparent on how close he was with Travis Klece. He insisted they almost became a family, and even beyond… A brother.
“But off the football field as well, he doesn’t try to be this Travis Kelce… He just wants to be the guy that comes to play football every single day, and I think that’s what makes him so special and why guys really gravitate towards him. We both love winning and we love competing. And I think that’s what makes us have that same wavelength on the football field as we’re going to compete to the very end”, the QB continued with why he gets along well with the TE, and what makes Kelce special, for him and the other players.
While Mahomes looked like he could go on talking about the tight end forever, they don’t have forever to prepare for their biggest challenge of the season. Kelce’s blood brother Jason comes as the footballing brothers’ biggest obstacle as the Chiefs gear up for the much-awaited clash.

Can the footballing brotherhood stand the big brother’s test?

The Eagles have the better record on paper. The Eagles have an 8-1 compared to the Chiefs’ 7-2, with the latter’s recent loss being a pretty humiliating one against the Broncos. Also, the Philly side features the league’s most feared center, Jason, the elder of the Kelce brothers. He would be the biggest hurdle to cross for the QB-TE if they were to come out victorious in the Super Bowl match-up. In October, Jason Kelce etched his name in the Eagles’ franchise history books by breaking Jon Runyan’s record with his 145th consecutive regular season. In his 13th year with the Birds, the six-time All-Pro hasn’t dropped his game one but.

The QB with his passing accuracy and volume combined with the TE’s physical presence can take down any defense in the league. The Chiefs have justifiedly the best offensive firepower in the league, and the brotherly pair would once again display the “Why” they clash against the Eagles for a Super Bowl rematch on November 20 at 8:15 p.m. ET at Arrowhead Stadium.
