San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has had a few ups and downs of late. He had a fantastic 2023, with the highest rushing yards in the league and a combined 21 touchdowns. His performance earned him the title of NFL Offensive Player of the Year. But his team didn’t win the Super Bowl, losing out against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl game. He recently signed a record-breaking $38 million two-year contract extension, making him the highest-paid running back. But he’s injured his calf and Achilles tendon and hasn’t been able to play this year.
Ups and downs, you see? But the one who’s been with him through everything is his wife, model and actress Olivia Culpo. The couple recently raised eyebrows over a picture where McCaffrey lightly touches Culpo’s belly. Amid all the speculation that the couple might be welcoming a new member to their family, a story on Olivia Culpo’s Instagram page has somewhat cut the tension. In the story, she poses with an orange tabby cat called George. She then talked about how she always grew up around loads of cats and how her parents owned a cat barn before making one request. “Everyone tell Christian to say yes,” she pleads.
Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey have celebrated five incredible years together, starting with a blind date in 2019. Since then, their relationship has continued to flourish, with both achieving remarkable success in their respective careers. McCaffrey reached new heights in 2023, delivering his best year yet. Meanwhile, Culpo has seamlessly transitioned from competing in pageants to exploring new opportunities. She has successfully hosted the last two Miss Universe pageants, maintaining a strong connection to her roots. The couple took their relationship to the next level, getting engaged in April 2023. They tied the knot in June this year, exchanging vows in a beautiful Rhode Island ceremony.

However, back to football: McCaffrey has apparently sought treatment from an Achilles specialist in Germany. He is battling Achilles tendonitis, and although he was eligible to be reactivated in Week 6, it’s evident that the 49ers are resting him until they can get the most out of him. Despite their 1-2 start to the season, the 49ers have rallied to 3-3, now topping the NFC West. Here’s hoping they can sustain their success long enough for a Super Bowl finish to remain viable by the time Christian McCaffrey returns.
Are McCaffrey-Culpo the only NFL couple welcoming a new member to their family?
You might have heard news of another “family expansion” if you’ve been following the NFL gossip. That’s right, Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are the latest to adopt a new pet into their lives. The Buffalo Bills quarterback and his girlfriend adopted a puppy at a pet adoption event organized by fellow Bills player Khalil Shakir and Sayler, his wife.
The couple started dating in May of 2023, so this seems like the next big step in their partnership. A pet’s a pretty big commitment after all. Who knows, the now proud puppy parents might have inspired McCaffrey and Culpo.

Josh Allen’s year looks like it can’t get any better. Not only has he been having a stellar year on the field, with the Bills now leading their division at 4-2, but he’s now got a new ray of sunshine in his life. Plus, Steinfeld’s been very supportive, showing up at nearly every Bills game this season. We wish the pair our best.
