Is Garrett Wilson's catch the new standard, or does Odell Beckham Jr.'s still reign supreme?

Remember the 2014 moment? “I didn’t know that my life would forever be changed. I didn’t know the magnitude of the moment. I love and I hate that moment.” Odell Beckham Jr. said this after his famous one-handed catch in the NFL. But now about 10 years later, Garrett Wilson did something similar to it.

Wilson’s one-handed spectacular catch on Thursday night football has probably now become the catch of the year. It was so good that it is now compared to that of Michael Jordan’s Nike logo, and even $40 million NFL star Beckham Jr.’s 2014 catch. To compare the latter, former running back Rashad Jennings joined ESPN radio on Friday.

When asked “if Garrett Wilson’s catch last night was better than Odell Beckham’s,” Jennings replied, “Odell’s is still the best I’ve seen in the NFL.” The reason? Well for this, the 39-year-old said that Beckham Jr. didn’t even see the ball and that “he was falling back and he reached behind his head in full extension and caught with two fingers.” But in Garrett Wilson’s case, he saw the football and was not completely falling back on head.

So, that’s why Jennings believes that Odell Beckham Jr.’s 43-yard touchdown catch is still better than that of Garrett Wilson’s 26-yard touchdown. Nevertheless, Wilson’s moment is also now etched in the NFL’s history books. It is now even compared to Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan logo, which Wilson’s teammate, Davante Adams joked about.

And forget about others. The interim coach Jeff Ulbrich loved the play, after the game in a presser said, “Oh, my goodness. I mean, I was talking to the ref when they were reviewing it. I’m like, ‘Just for the sake of posterity, you have to let it stand just so it goes down in history.’ It would rival the Odell catch. It was amazing.” Yes, it was! Many NFL fans now do believe it. It is also because it saved “terribleAaron Rodgers in the game.

Aaron Rodgers accepted the brutal reality!

Garrett Wilson and other things save the ship of the Jets! At halftime in Week 9 against the Texans, things looked rough for Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. During a post-game presser, he even admitted this by saying, “I was terrible. I played about as bad as I could in the first half and I knew it had to get better from there.” He described how he played his worst in the first half, “completing just 7 of 14 passes for only 32 yards – a career low till now for Rodgers.

But after halftime, everything changed. The Jets QB delivered a second-half performance that felt like classic Rodgers. He “completed 15 of 18 passes, racked up 179 yards, and threw three touchdowns with zero turnovers.” This comeback fueled the Jets to a 21-13 victory, breaking their five-game losing streak and giving fans hope for the future.

And let’s not forget that Garrett Wilson’s 26-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter helped Rodgers and team to improve their score. The team is now sitting at 3-6.
