If you’re not a kicker or a punter, you’re asked to explode, change direction, and the moment that starts slipping injuries happen, the pressure that comes with New York. Unless Aaron is playing at a top five level as a quarterback, I don’t see this team having any chance.”

The NFL insider further highlighted that the presence of excessive distractions and noise surrounding the team is recognized to be a significant factor in the NFL. Calling out some teams’ names, Middlekauff explained that the teams like Ravens and Patriots. Once their quarterback situations were resolved, they could focus solely on playing football without any distractions. Even struggling teams like the Lions were able to avoid distractions and simply focused on playing the game.

Similarly, 3 & Out host thinks the Jets should do this, including A-Rod’s top 5 level performance, if they want to clinch the Lombardi trophy after 55 years. So, can Rodgers win LIX in 2025?

The Jets traded for Aaron Rodgers with hopes of winning the Super Bowl, but losing Rodgers early in the 2023 season exposed the team’s weaknesses. Merely relying on Rodgers won’t be enough to turn the Jets into contenders, especially considering his age and recent injury. The team needs upgrades in offensive line and targets, as well as changes in coaching staff. As things stand, the Jets are not on par with the top teams in the league, and Douglas must work hard to change that if they want to have a real shot at the Super Bowl.
