Jim Harbaugh is true to his words. He told his players that if Michigan won all the games in the season, he would get a tattoo. The Michigan team finished the season with a spotless record and won the championship. This became a precursor for Harbaugh to mark his entry into the NFL once again.
Earlier in the year, following all his success, Jim Harbaugh was appointed as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. He started revamping the team, from making major roster changes to minor locker room changes. The HC did it all. But he recently did something that got Cam Newton’s attention.

The veteran QB’s response was against the post about Harbaugh that said, “#Chargers Jim Harbaugh has made some locker room changes. Not only are player lockers rearranged numerically, but each player nameplate now shows their recruit level coming out of high school. (NR through 5-star recruit level).” Harbaugh’s actions are open to interpretation. However, Cam Newton had a great point to make on his 4 and 1 show.
In response, Newton said, “Man, he got a edge to him,” and added, “I don’t know what the edge is, but that’s something cool.” The ex-Panthers QB tried to provide a reason through Harbaugh’s frame of mind. “We all ended up at the same place. No matter if you was a no star, or all-star. We’re here now.”
Many would think that Harbaugh is trying to segregate people, but if we look at it from a different perspective, Harbaugh’s message means that it doesn’t matter how one was rated in high school; every athlete in the Chargers organization plays for one purpose.

There’s no doubt that Harbaugh is committed to the Chargers’ success. His 15-0 Michigan record speaks volumes. Also, Harbaugh’s working with JJ McCarthy in the past helped the QB carve a name for himself.
Jim Harbaugh takes his peers seriously
Winning the CFP national championship for Michigan with a 15-0 record was quite symbolic for Harbaugh for many reasons. Harbaugh made a promise that he would get a Michigan tattoo if the team kept up the win streak, and he delivered on that promise. The Michigan coach got an “M” tattooed on his arm that said “15-0” below it.

“I said that I would get a tattoo,” Harbaugh said after defeating Washington. “I have no ink on my body. No tattoos anywhere, but I did say that to our players. I said if we go 15-0, I’m getting a tattoo. It’s 15-0.”

Also, Michigan became one of the first football programs to get 1,000 wins, and “M” stands for a Roman numeral for a thousand. The tattoo was given by a Grand Rapids-based artist who goes by the name of Stephen Bateman. Before this, Harbaugh didn’t have the tattoo on his body but hinted that he would have more if the occasion calls for it.
