Whoever voted for the five players that Kansas City is sending to the 2025 Pro Bowl games didn’t carry out their tasks properly. And no, we are not talking about Patrick Mahomes. His Pro Bowl snub hits differently for what he has achieved with the Chiefs this season. But it’s the defensive side of things that needs everyone’s attention.
All-Pro 2023 CB, Trent McDuffie, found himself ditched yet again from a Pro Bowl trip. This season, the 24-year-old has 13 deflected passes to his name and 2 interceptions to go with. His 90.5 pass-rush grade ranks within the top 7 of 219 CBs in the league. Despite this, he got ignored for the honor.
Well, the Chiefs are sending a trio of starters and two backups to this year’s Pro Bowl. Fan favorite Travis Kelce has crushed the voting required to secure a Pro Bowl accolade. He had racked in 252,200 votes before the voting window closed on December 23rd. This would be Kelce’s 10th Pro Bowl honor while leaving him just behind the likes of Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten. Their 14 and 11 Pro Bowls, respectively, remain the highest in terms of Tight Ends in Pro Bowls.

As for Kelce, he didn’t really have a great season to his usual standards. After 16 games, the three-time Super Bowl Champion hauled in 97 catches for 823 yards. However, his end zone scores have taken a massive hit, with only 3 this season. Now, besides Kelce, the Chiefs also have their sixth-consecutive Pro Bowler in Chris Jones. His numbers aren’t great either, as the Chiefs’ defensive tackle only recorded five sacks, his lowest since 2016’s rookie season.
Although there could be questions about Kelce’s and Jones’s Pro Bowl honors, the Chiefs’ trio of O-line deserves their place without any hinge of a doubt. Center Creed Humphrey, Guard Trey Smith, and former Guard now left tackle Joe Thuney have brought stabilization to the Chiefs O-line. With that, Humphrey gets his third consecutive Pro Bowl honor while Thuney follows him, and Smith gets his first of many in Kansas City.
But the thing that fumed the fans was Trent McDuffie failing to make the final list of Pro Bowl.

Fans call out the Pro Bowls for their bias with Trent McDuffie
On the day when Patrick Mahomes is set to miss out on his Pro Bowl after winning one in each of his first six seasons as a starter in Kansas City. The fans’ focus has shifted elsewhere instead of raising their voices for their two-time Super Bowl MVP. They have flocked the internet with calls of robbing while pointing out their defensive star, Trent McDuffie. One of them couldn’t believe that the Chiefs cornerback didn’t make the final cut, “McDuffie got robbed no way, bru.”
Now, you can’t really fight them on this. McDuffie has been truly sensational in the Chiefs’ defense. After winning First-Team All-Pro last season, the Chiefs CB has taken his game upwards. So fans kept on calling “McDuffie robbed,” because of the way he performed this season.

Impressively, the Chiefs CB has only allowed 51 receptions while applying 7 total pressures. Judging by his productions, you can’t really blame the fans for trending, “Mcduffie robbed.” What more do you need to produce so that the next time you don’t get snubbed from your deserved Pro Bowl honor? Maybe a 3-peat could help Trent McDuffie increase his chances of recognition behind all the other corners in the league.
