While the players in the NFL are preparing themselves for the big games, those from colleges are getting ready for the 2025 Draft. Everything has been finalized, the dates and the venue. But there have been issues about it as well. Few athletes are being touted as the next stars. Shedeur Sanders is one of them.
Mike Florio appeared on the Dan Patrick Show on November 5 and gave unique advice. He first talked about the quarterback’s father, Deion Sanders, who has said he wouldn’t coach any NFL team ever. But Florio claimed that the coach might change his stance once his son gets in the league. However, he also advised the young boy to be very careful.
Florio said, “Somebody needs to say, ‘I’m not going to play for the Panthers, I’m not going to play for the Jets. I’ll sit out for a year. I got NIL money. I don’t need your money. I’ll sit out for a year and re-enter the draft.” That’s a pretty strong statement. Aaron Rodgers‘ team needs a younger quarterback who can lead them out of the mess they are into.

The decision lies with Shedeur Sanders. He could ask anyone for advice. Deion, his father, already knows the ins and outs of the league. The young QB also has a NIL deal with Nike that gives him enough money if he opts to sit out. But it’s doubtful he would sit out a season.
According to Florio, it would be better if Shedeur Sanders gave a statement to not play for the Panthers and Jets as Eli Manning did for the Chargers (then San Diego Chargers) in the 2004 Draft. But will that happen? Doesn’t look like so.

The young college quarterback is excited to play in the league. He is ready and preparing hard for the draft. When asked about his January classes at the University of Colorado Boulder, he casually replied that he was going to the league. But that was not the only surprise.
