Is Nick Sirianni the coach to lead the Eagles to their long-awaited Super Bowl victory?

The times have changed. The season is in its final stage before the postseason begins. Eagles HC Nick Sirianni understands this. With 9 wins and 2 losses, they are set to qualify for the playoffs. But the coach is looking at the bigger picture. And after the week 12 win against the Rams by 37-20, he gave a powerful message to his locker room.

Tight end Dallas Goedert gave a sneak peek into the coach’s mindset and revealed the coach’s words that were,” We’ve won a lot of games the past couple of years but haven’t gotten the big job done yet. We keep our heads down and keep working.” That’s pretty straightforward thinking of the coach.

Ever since Nick Sirianni arrived at the Eagles, he has taken them to playoffs every season. But the Super Bowl has eluded them. In 2021, they lost the divisional playoffs to the Buccaneers. Things were much better in 2022 when they qualified for the Super Bowl but lost to the Chiefs 38-35. Hearts broken by 3 points. But that’s how the game works.

2023 was a repeat of 2021 when they again lost to the Bucs in the divisional playoffs. This year, the task is cut out for them. Go all in. They are in a good spot, but strategies must be prepared and tried before the playoffs. Only then the head coach can get over the playoff dilemma. One thing he also needs to pay attention to is the injuries. The week 13 victory left one of their players injured.

Nick Sirianni gave no update about Brandon Graham

In the post-game presser, the coach was asked about the injury status of DE Brandon Graham. The player had injured his elbow in the 2nd half against the Rams. The HC revealed that he was praying for the DE and wasn’t ready to talk about it. But we got an update for you.

The DE came forward with the bad news. He has torn his biceps and won’t play in the remaining games of the season. “At the end of the day, it is what it is. No sense in crying about it, just gotta know that I put everything into it. It hurt, but I’m telling you, I’m gonna be better from it,” he said after the game while getting emotional about the injury.

From Nick Sirianni’s viewpoint, that’s a headache for sure. The 36-year-old has the 3rd highest number of sacks (76.5) in the Eagles’ history. Losing such an important player at this critical stage will certainly impact their team dynamics. The head coach’s role becomes amplified in this scenario.
