The Philadelphia Eagles office has a perplexing situation. After exiting the 2023 season with no title, the team is hunting for individuals to fill coaching roles. But that doesn’t mean coach Nick Sirianni is out, nor does it confirm that he will stay. So, what will Sirianni’s future be per the 2024 plan?

Sirianni is 34-17 in three seasons at Philadelphia. He made three playoff trips in these three seasons and helped the team reach the Super Bowl finale last season. Furthermore, they started off this season as one of the strongest teams in the league, with a 10-1 record. Everything was going fine with the coach and the team then. However, the team collapsed spectacularly, losing six of seven games, apparently bringing Sirianni to the hot seat.

The Eagles’ coach, Nick Sirianni, is in a crucial phase where he needs to outline a plan for improving the team when he meets with owner Jeffrey Lurie. According to a report by Dianna Russini, they were going to meet to plan to cover potential new coordinators and assistant coaches. The Eagles must regroup after an unexpected downturn that ended with a season-ending loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sirianni and the Eagles’ GM, Howie Roseman, are actively exploring options among available NFL coaches, coordinators, and coaching agents to identify suitable candidates for roles on the coaching staff.

Sirianni has already conducted exit interviews with players and was scheduled to present his plan to Lurie, including potential changes to the defensive and possibly offensive coordinator positions. However, “logistical” issues have delayed this meeting, leaving Sirianni’s coaching future uncertain. If Sirianni is amenable to necessary changes, he might retain his position as Eagles coach, but disapproval from Lurie could lead to a different outcome.

Meanwhile, although his situation is uncertain, Sirianni has many in his team backing him up no matter what.

Nick Sirianni received support from his team!

No one in the team seems to want Nick Sirianni out. Eagles offensive lineman Jordan Mailata expressed confusion about speculation regarding coach Sirianni’s future. He said, “He’s taken us to the playoffs three consecutive years. He’s taken us to the Super Bowl last year. That’s gotta account for something. He’s a hell of a coach. Hell of a coach. I feel stupid saying that. How did we get there?

Jason Kelce, another influential figure in the locker room, also spoke positively about Sirianni, expressing, “I think Nick’s a great coach.” Other team leaders, including quarterback Jalen Hurts, echoed support for Sirianni, emphasizing their confidence in him and the front office’s decision-making.
