The Philadelphia Eagles have aced their NFC East clash against the Washington Commanders on Thursday. Stopping the high-flying Commanders is surely a massive win for Nick Sirianni and Co.

But for a moment things seemed pretty scary for the Eagles after QB Jalen Hurts was taken off to the blue medical tent for evaluation at the end of the team’s final drive in the second half. This happened after the QB suffered a hit from two Commanders’ defenders and fell on the ground. However, Hurts rejoined the game after he was cleared.

During the post-game press conference, HC Sirianni shared the QB’s injury status. He said that he knew early on during the halftime that “Jalen was going to be cleared.”

On Thursday, Hurts was 18 of 28 for 221 yards and also had 2 sacks. He was the decisive factor in the game who helped the Eagles push past Dann Quinn’s defense. Thank god he returned unharmed. What would have happened if he didn’t? Guess we would never know.

Now with an 8-2 record, Nick Sirianni’s side is standing at the top of the NFC East and is set to face the Los Angeles Rams at the SoFi Stadium on November 25, 2024. The team would surely hope to carry the same intensity and replicate Thursday’s result.

What’s your perspective on:

However, for the Commanders things are a bit turbulent following two back-to-back losses after a three-game winning streak. They need to find their way back on the top as they near the end of the season and hope to reach playoffs. The Commanders are set to face the Dallas Cowboys next on Sunday, November 24 at the Northwest stadium.

In the post-game interview, while discussing his injury status and the concussion, Hurts said he “didn’t feel any effects after the head hit the ground. I guess I beat the protocol”. Does this mean that he wasn’t injured and it was all a big hoax? Or does it mean that he faked the evaluation to get back on the ground?

In the last 10 games he played, he has a 69.2% completion rate with 12 TDs, 5 interceptions, and 28 sacks for 2197 yards. Although nothing is certain about what will happen next, his recent statement has raised doubts in a lot of minds and he might as well be under a lot of scrutiny.
