The NFL world is all set to witness the Super Bowl rematch. The 7-2 Kansas City Chiefs are going against the 8-1 Philadelphia Eagles at the Arrowhead Stadium. The teams have taken some serious hits with a couple of players inactive in both of their rosters. However, with complete side or not, the teams might have to slug it out in harsh weather conditions on the home turf of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The temperatures are cold and there is some added trouble as nature might choose to interfere with the game as well. The Kansas City page released a weather update summing up what to expect ahead of the epic matchup. Safe to say that the teams are in for some rainfall, but how much will it affect the game?

Are the birds in jeopardy against the Kansas City Chiefs?

Per the Kansas City Star, Arrowhead Stadium can experience a light rain on Monday after the kickoff time. There is a possibility of intermittent showers and winds blowing at around 10 mph to 15 mph. The stadium and the Kansas City might experience an inch of rain throughout the day. According to the report, the city will experience a high of 45 degrees with the temperature shifting to 40 at night.

Unfortunately, the unlucky weather has come at the wrong time because, for the rest of the week, there aren’t supposed to be any problems. The week ahead seems dry and cool with the temperatures predicted to reach about 50 degrees. The unstable weather might cause some problems in the game. While the Chiefs might be prepared for this offset, the Birds might have a hard time catching up to the playing conditions.

Well, rain usually hinders a lot of things. First of all, there are visibility issues, and then the temperatures are already quite low, which is a discomfort on its own. Lastly, the rain might increase the chances of injuries even more. Considering the fact that both teams have quite an inactive list for the day, the Super Bowl rematch has come with its own set of challenges.

The Eagles are playing in the absence of their TE Dallas Goedert, who is out due to a forearm injury. In addition to this, there seems to be an absence of defensive players on both sides of the roster. The Chiefs will be playing without their WR Richie James and some other defensive line players, a total of 5 to be exact.
