NFL 2023 Week 8 Report: Star QBs – Hits & Flops

The most anticipated week of the NFL has treated the fans with much-awaited games. Although it?s difficult to point out a single one, we will take a look at the best of the lot. Firstly, it’s Ravens vs Cardinals which Ravens have won comfortably by 31-24. The second would be the fan favorite, the Chiefs vs the Broncos. And this one proved to be the biggest upset of the season.

The Broncos have ended their 16-game losing streak by registering their third win of the season 24-9. The Chiefs though, had a rather forgettable game. The Bengals who have just found their long-lost form this season also defeated the formidable 49ers 31-17. Now let?s take a closer look at how well your star QBs have performed this week.

Who turned up today?

We will start the list with some of the biggest names. Lamar Jackson who broke the records last week with 4 TDs had a poor run today. Although the team won, his performance was rather forgettable as he managed to score only 1 TD. In the battle between the Bengals and the 49ers, Joe Burrow retained his form and scored 3 extraordinary TDs while his counterpart, Brock Purdy, barely scored one and was intercepted two times on the field.

The reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes had an average game. He was fighting the battle on two fronts as he came into the game while suffering from the flu. Despite making more than 200 passing yards. He was not able to make a mark and was unable to score a TD. Veteran QB Russell Wilson led the Broncos from the front and registered 3TDs. This week proved to be a blockbuster for Wilson. How will the QBs lead their team in the upcoming games?

Exciting match-ups for the teams are on the Horizon!

As the games are wrapped up for the week. The teams have to prepare for the opponents they will be facing next week. The Chiefs, after losing the game as well as the six-game winning streak, will be facing the Dolphins. This can become the most awaited match of the next week. The Broncos will be taking up arms against the Bills after 2 weeks. Before that the Bills will go up against the Bengals next week.

The 49ers will face the Jaguars after two weeks and in the meantime will ponder on what went wrong against the Bengals. The Ravens will be flying to California to battle out against the Seahawks.
