If there were any doubts that Lamar Jackson was still capable of playing at a high level, they were all crushed after today’s game. And today’s game has also given him a boost in the race for the NFL MVP title. Bleacher Report took to X to share the stats that he put up in the Sunday Night Football game. He ended the game with a perfect passer rating of 158.3. This is his third game with a perfect passer rating. And he is just two such games away from breaking the NFL record held by Ben Roethlisberger, who has done it five times.

With his five touchdowns, this game will be counted as his fourth game with 5 touchdowns and the first one since his 2019 season in which he also won the NFL MVP title. He completed 18 of his 21 passes and also recorded a total of 321 yards. So, how did this amazing feat come about and which players helped him achieve this?

In the first quarter, both teams came out firing, scoring touchdowns on their opening drives. De’Von Achane, a rookie running back for Miami, was having success early in the run game as he finished the first half with 86 yards. Following cornerback Marlon Humphrey’s calf injury in the first quarter, Jackson was in control, finding Justice Hill, Zay Flowers, and Isaiah Likely all for touchdown passes. In the first half, he finished with 24 rushing yards and 255 passing yards.

Linebacker Roquan Smith’s first interception of the season helped set up one of those touchdown passes. At halftime, the Ravens lead 28–13. However, the scoring continued after that. In the third quarter, Jackson found Likely for his fourth passing touchdown of the day following a lengthy kick return by Hill. After a blunder by Gus Edwards in the third, Geno Stone quickly turned the play around to record his seventh interception of the year.

The score was 42-19 after Jackson led the team back down the field and found fullback Pat Ricard for his fifth touchdown pass of the day. It was 49-19 when Melvin Gordon scored a touchdown and ran it in from four yards out. Late in the fourth quarter, Charlie Kolar scored his first touchdown pass of the year, giving the Ravens their first game with 50 points this season. Baltimore now holds the top seed in the AFC and will start the playoffs with a bye week after this victory.
