Taylor Swift stole the spotlight for most of the season. And then it turned out to be a Taylor Swift Super Bowl. But thankfully, the league heard fans and only gave her minimal coverage. However, she was not the only celebrity to feature in the NFL during the regular season. Several other celebs also intermittently basked in the spotlight, under the omnipresent shadow of Swift.

Two of the main stars who were much talked about during the season were Eminem and Ryan Reynolds. While the rapper is a huge Lions fan, the Deadpool actor is a Jets super fan. So, what did they do to be talked about so much?

Eminem proudly represents the Motor City and fervently supports the Detroit Lions, despite his Missouri origins. His connection to the city runs deep, having been a resident since his teenage years. In a show of his allegiance, the iconic rapper even made a memorable appearance at one of the team’s practice sessions during the 2022 offseason edition of HBO’s Hard Knocks.

In a lighthearted video message shared by Sunday Night Football, Eminem playfully reminded Rams’ quarterback Matthew Stafford of their shared history. With a touch of humor, Eminem requested Stafford to “let us have this one” as the Lions prepare to face off against the Rams in the NFL Wild Card Round.

Eminem had actually performed at the Super Bowl LVI half-time show. The Rams had beaten the Bengals 23-20. He sought to cash in on the favor by saying, “I was there for you. I rapped for you, Stafford.” The Voices actor also had his fair share of the limelight.

Ryan Reynolds strikes a sultry pose with Kelce

Ryan Reynolds caused a stir on social media when he shared a picture on his Instagram story. It featured himself and NFL star Travis Kelce clad in women’s dresses. In the snapshot, Kelce can be seen winking with his hand on Reynolds’ shoulder. The “Free Guy” actor humorously captioned the post, “I feel like I should remember this.”

However, it was revealed that the picture was the work of an Instagram artist known as @karthiknjartist. The faux image was actually a recreation of a viral photo featuring Taylor Swift and Blake Lively. Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, shares a close friendship with Swift, and the Grammy-winning artist has referenced Lively and Reynolds’ children in her music.
