The Myles Garrett sweepstakes? Oh, it’s real, and it’s heating up faster than a blitzing linebacker on third-and-long. If you’re an Eagles fan, you might want to buckle up. Because this could be the offseason move that changes everything.
Now, here’s where things get interesting—Philly is reportedly in the mix for Garrett. That’s right. Fresh off a Super Bowl-winning season, The Birds could be eyeing to strengthen their grasp on the Lombardi as they’d be going in as the defending champs. So, who better to include in the roster than the NFL’s most dominant edge rusher to supercharge their pass rush?
But before you start imagining him lined up next to Jalen Carter wreaking havoc, let’s talk about the price tag. Because, spoiler alert: he’s not cheap.

Before we get to the value part, let’s remind ourselves who we are talking about. A four-time All-Pro guy with 102.5 sacks over eight seasons, and one of the most feared defensive players in football. The Browns, despite their public stance of not wanting to trade Garrett, are in a financial mess thanks to a certain quarterback contract we won’t name (but you know exactly who).
If they do move Garrett, it’s going to take a haul.

So what’s the asking price? The rumored deal, per 94 WIP’s evening host Joe Giglio, for Philly? A 2025 first-round pick (No. 32 overall), a 2027 conditional pick that could be as high as a first-rounder, and quarterback Tanner McKee. Not exactly pocket change, but then again, franchise-altering talents don’t come cheap.
But let’s be real—how much is too much for a player like Garrett? This isn’t some aging pass rusher on the decline. He’s still in his prime, and if the Eagles are serious about making another Super Bowl run, pairing him with Carter could be terrifying for opposing QBs. Just imagine Dak Prescott or Brock Purdy seeing that duo lined up across from them. Yeah, good luck.
Of course, the deal isn’t done yet, and the Eagles aren’t the only team sniffing around. The Lions, Commanders, and a few others are reportedly in the mix. But make no mistake—if Howie Roseman wants to land Garrett, he’ll have to make a move that stings a little.
Howie’s got his eyes set on Myles Garrett
If there’s one thing we know about Howie Roseman, it’s that he doesn’t sit back and play it safe. Remember his favorite trick in the bag? The void years… The Eagles’ general manager has built his reputation on bold moves, cap wizardry, and a championship mindset. After hoisting the Lombardi in Super Bowl LIX, he’s not about to let Philly take a step back. And now? He’s reportedly eyeing Myles Garrett.
That’s right. The same Myles Garrett who wrecks offensive lines like a freight train. The Browns claim they’re keeping him, but insiders say Roseman is gearing up to take a swing. “Howie’s willing to move on from some of these guys because he’s looking to make a big swing,” said The Athletic’s Dianna Russini. And when Roseman swings, he doesn’t miss often.

But why Garrett? Simple—he’s a game-changer. Josh Sweat had a career year, but let’s be real: Garrett is on another level… That level, which would pump Philly’s D-line from elite to terrifying. Plus, there’s another layer here—Roseman reportedly fears Washington making a move for Garrett. If your biggest division rival is in the mix, the best way to stop them? Beat them to the punch.
Now, the million-dollar question: can the Eagles pull this off? Cleveland holds the cards, but Garrett isn’t exactly thrilled about staying. If they’re smart, they’ll cash in while his value is sky-high. And if history tells us anything, Roseman won’t be shy about making an offer they can’t refuse.

Washington, Dallas, and the rest of the NFC are watching closely. No one wants to see Garrett in midnight green. But if there’s a GM who can turn “impossible” into “done deal,” it’s Howie.
