Russell Wilson might not give up that $37 million so easily. The Denver Broncos forced him to defer the injury guarantee trigger date, and if he didn’t, they would not let him play as a starter. Well, his worst nightmare came true, and the Broncos decided to bench him in the last few games of the season. He might not want to play with a team that overlooks his veteran experience.
However, a tweet from Dov Kleiman suggests the quarterback would be no short of offers if he decides to leave the Denver Broncos. The Minnesota Vikings might become a perfect landing spot for the dejected quarterback if he does. The movement might soon become a reality after Kirk Cousins suffered a season-ending injury, as this is his last year with the Vikings.

This might just be a guessing game as of now, but the Vikings fans are not happy with Russell Wilson making the Minnesota Vikings his home. They are pretty comfortable with how things are going and hope Kirk Cousins signs with the Minnesota Vikings again. Wilson tweeted the possibility of resigning from the Broncos if they don’t keep him as a starter.
However, the Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah hopes not to relinquish the possibility of keeping Cousins.

After suffering an Achilles injury, Cousins took a backseat for the rest of the season, and the Vikings have been experimenting with the QB position ever since. Cousins will become a free agent in March, and it’s safe to say many teams need a franchise QB. He might not have to worry about finding a job. However, his bond with the Vikings might make him stay a bit longer.
According to sources, the Vikings were willing to offer all leverage to the QB, but he might have different plans for the future. According to an analysis by Spotrac, the Vikings have a $28,500,000 dead cap, which is insufficient to maintain a franchise QB and a receiver like Justin Jefferson. However, the Vikings have time to think things out before the next season begins.
