The Cleveland Browns find themselves in an enviable yet pressure-packed position with the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. It’s like a chance to revive after a pathetic 3-14 season. They would certainly want to cash in on that. But rumors are pointing toward a disaster. Remember when the Buffalo Bills traded the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft to the Kansas City Chiefs? They used it to get Patrick Mahomes. Are the Browns heading toward the Bills’ path? Also, after missing Russell Wilson, can they afford it?

This Tuesday, NFL Rumors dropped some big news: “The #Browns are open to moving down from the No. 2 pick.” So, does this mean Kevin Stefanski is giving up on a key player? But seriously, will this help the Browns? A lot of fans think trading down from the second pick is the smart move. With several positions needing attention and a relatively weak quarterback class, many believe stockpiling later picks makes more sense. But is that the best strategy?

If the Browns want to avoid a full rebuild, they need top-tier talent—and that kind of talent is usually found early in the draft. The Browns are on the clock at No. 2, so who’s the game-changer they simply can’t afford to pass up? And what are analysts saying?

Russell Wilson’s new chapter: Giants bound!

Ru͏ssell W͏ilson has struck a one-year ͏deal with t͏he ͏New Y͏ork Giants. His contract co͏uld͏ ͏reach $21 million w͏ith $10.5͏ million guaranteed. The͏ ͏Giants also broug͏ht in veteran Jameis Winston on a two-year de͏al and hold the third pick in the upcom͏ing NFL draft. But the thing is, Cleveland was waiting for his services as well.

They had Jameis Winston in the 2024 season. He played 12 games where he had 13 touchdowns for 2,121 yards and a completion rate of 61.1 percent. However, his time with the Browns ended after getting benched in favor of Dorian Thompson-Robinson following a string of interceptions and a poor performance against the Chiefs. He signed with the Giants later. For the last game of the season, Bailey Zappe was their signal caller. But he is now with the Chiefs.

They have Deshaun Watson, but are planning to replace him as well. However, the Browns hold the No. 2 pick that could settle their QB conundrums. It’s the clearest path to getting Shedeur Sanders.

Looking at the Giants’ situation, they seem to be in a better position now. After a rough 3-14 season in 2024, the Giants parted ways with 2019 first-round pick Daniel Jones. Before adding Winston and Wilson, Tommy DeVito was the only quarterback on the roster.

The Giants have struggled, missing the playoffs in 11 of the last 13 seasons since Eli Manning’s second Super Bowl win in 2011. With the pressure mounting, general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll are feeling the heat to win now—while possibly grooming a rookie quarterback for the future. Shedeur Sanders could be a prime target for the Giants with that No. 3 pick.

Russe͏ll͏ Wilson is a solid qu͏a͏rte͏rba͏ck. He t͏hrew͏ for 2,482 ya͏rds, ͏16 touchdow͏ns, five͏ in͏terception͏s, and had͏ ͏a ͏96.5͏ pa͏s͏ser rating with͏ t͏he Steelers.͏ N͏ow, e͏veryone is curious ͏t͏o see what k͏ind of ma͏gic Wilson will bring͏ to his n͏ew te͏am.
