The Vikings drafted the 24-year-old WR in the 2020 NFL Draft in the first round. But with his rookie contract entering into the final year of its duration. The Vikings are looking to gain maximum from this situation.

“I’m definitely going to do what’s right by getting the amount that I feel like I’m valued”, said Jefferson about the contract extension negotiations with the Vikings. But with no deal being signed yet, and his four-year, $13.12 million deal with a $7.1 million signing bonus entering its last year. The best thing for the Vikings is to trade the WR.

Jefferson is aiming to be the highest-paid non-QB in the league. The previous player to do so was Tyreek Hill in 2022 with his four-year, $120 million contract with the Miami Dolphins. Since the LSU graduate is hoping to get paid more, the Patriots will need to break the bank to have him on their roster.
