The Giants are in a bit of a pickle at quarterback, and it’s not just about Daniel Jones anymore. They’ve been poking around for other options, but let’s be real—nothing’s set in stone. Rumors have linked them to Aaron Rodgers, but with how unpredictable the league is, it feels more like a “Game of Thrones” plot twist waiting to happen. Just when you think you know where things are headed, a new rumor shakes things up. So, what’s next?

Well, after Matthew Stafford decided to stay with the Rams, Rodgers’ chances with the Giants surely intensified. I mean, A-Rod seems like a perfect fit for the Giants. Of course, he’s not a long-term option but he could be a mentor to a young QB, right? But the big question: do the Giants really want Rodgers? It seems like they don’t.

If reports are to be believed, both the New York teams have called the Titans about trading up for the first overall pick. Plus, word around New York is that both teams want the Miami QB, Cam Ward. Looks like the Giants and the Jets just had a conference call with the Titans. And the Titans are not opposed to it as well.

“Draft picks are our biggest form of currency, so when there’s opportunities to trade back to collect more picks, we’re going to do that.” That’s what the Tennessee team’s general manager, Mike Borgonzi, said while confirming that certain teams have inquired about the No. 1 pick availability.

Now, let’s talk about the Giants first. The team’s entering the 2025 season with just one QB on their roster, Tommy DeVito. That means they’re in a dire need of a quarterback this offseason. Now that the Giants are talking with the Titans to move up for 1st overall pick, it’s pretty certain they want to draft Ward. On the other side, if they can’t get the 1st overall, they’ll still have the No. 3 pick.

That means they can either draft Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart, or anyone else. The kicker? Well, the Giants GM, Joe Schoen, also wants a veteran to mentor a rookie QB. “Tommy DeVito is our only quarterback on the roster,” Schoen said at the NFL Scouting Combine. “We’re going to have to address the position somewhere. And even if you get a young quarterback, you’d like to have a vet in the room with them to show them the ropes and how to be a pro. So, you know, we’re looking at all different avenues.”

Huh! It’s enough to say that Aaron Rodgers‘ future with the Giants is still on the cards. We just have to wait a bit more for the confirmation.

What’s your perspective on:

Could Cam Ward be the savior the Giants and Jets desperately need, or just another bust?

Have an interesting take?

But what about the Jets? Well, if the Jets had a Hall of Fame for QB disasters, it’d be packed. Mark Sanchez? Butt-fumbled his way into infamy. Sam Darnold? Straight-up admitted to “seeing ghosts” on national TV. Zach Wilson? Never lived up to the hype. And Aaron Rodgers? The guy barely made it four plays before his Achilles called it quits. And now, here we are.

The Jets are also looking to get hold of No. 1 pick in 2025. However, if they can’t draft Ward, rumors say they can draft Jalen Milroe as the 7th overall pick. The reasons? Oh, that’s the tricky but most obvious part. You see, Aaron Glenn has a Bill Parcells influenced background. Plus, Parcells has strong ties with Bill Belichick and Nick Saban.

That said, Milroe had played under Saban at Alabama, which connects him to his coaching philosophy. Since Aaron Glenn is a Parcells guy, it’s likely he can go for Milroe—if the team is unable to draft Ward, of course. As for the Titans, it looks like they’re gearing up to lose a potential No. 1 pick.

Are the Titans really losing the No. 1 pick?

Coming after a brutal 3-14 season, the Titans are desperate for a franchise quarterback. Plus, the team has the 1st overall pick in this year’s draft. However, the Titans are keeping an open mind for their first pick. That means, the team’s ready to trade the pick—only if they can get something similar to what the Bears got for Caleb Williams last year.

Let’s be real—the Titans don’t have much to work with in this draft, holding just two picks in the top 100 (No. 1 and No. 35). And with their GM openly looking to stockpile more picks, trading down from that top spot feels almost inevitable. Now, the real question isn’t if they’ll move the pick—it’s who they’ll make a deal with. Any takers?

Sure, both the New York teams are in contact with the Titans. However, the Las Vegas Raiders reportedly want to try to move up for the No. 1 pick. According to Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline, “The overall belief from people in the league is that the Las Vegas Raiders will be one of the teams actively attempting to trade up with the hopes of selecting quarterback Cam Ward.”

Pff! Cam Ward must be giving a nod to all these rumors right about now. The Raiders currently have the No. 6 pick. While there were reports that they want to draft Sanders in the first round. However, considering Sanders is expected to be an early pick, the Raiders may fall short for drafting the Colorado QB. That said, the Las Vegas team is pursuing to trade for Ward.

Now, one thing’s certain: sure, Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Giants is still unclear, but Cam Ward is surely going to be the top pick in this year’s draft.
