The Chiefs vs. Dolphins matchup will likely break streaming records as the first playoff game to be aired via a streaming model. Subscription-based viewership is not new in the NFL. The Yahoo! network experimented with it first in 2015, and Amazon Prime’s TNF rights became a successful routine. NBC and Peacock tried this in the season before, but this time, they have won the right to a jackpot rematch.

The Miami Dolphins lost 21-14 in the regular season game against the Chiefs in Germany. Destiny has given them another chance to prove their worth at Arrowhead. People in the country want to watch the AFC cracker by any means. Rightly so, NBC grabbed the opportunity with both hands after tasting success in the Bills vs. Chargers game in the regular season.

MLFootball shared the news by posting on X. The account disclosed the amount paid by the NBC network to the NFL for securing exclusivity with Peacock, “NEWS: NBC paid the NFL 110 MILLION DOLLARS to exclusively stream the Chiefs Dolphins playoff game on Peacock.”

MLFootball acknowledged the meaning of it and informed fans earlier, “That is why you all will be paying to watch Saturday Night.” NBC is sure that they will make an ample profit from the deal. They will use the strategy used on December 23.

That day, the Bills vs. Chargers game was heavily promoted first in the Bengals vs. Steelers matchup. Eventually, the Bills vs. Chargers game finished with 7.3 million views, and according to the network, it was a success.

The least-watched playoff game last year garnered 21.8 million views. Even if the network achieves only a portion of this number, the Chiefs vs. Dolphins game will become the most-viewed streaming game ever. How can you watch the game on Peacock this week?
