Veteran QB Joe Flacco has etched his name in the history books by joining Bryce Young making an embarrassing record. The Texans are ruling their home turf in the reverse of the week 16 loss against the Browns at the same venue. The Texans won 45-15 in a complete domination of the Browns.

While CJ Stroud broke major records, Joe Flacco looked out of touch and will remember this game as one of his worst. His two interceptions have made all the difference and virtually knocked out the chances of a comeback for the Browns.

QB Joe Flacco is not known for the performance he gave in back-to-back drives. Flacco was intercepted two times in the gap of minutes, and it resulted in TDs for the Texans. The first fiasco happened at six minutes remaining in the third quarter. Steven Nelson picked a sitter and ran to the end zone, taking the score to 31. Minutes after, Christian Harris intercepted and ran for a TD. The veteran again resulted in back-to-back pick sixes.

NFL shared the gameplay on X captioned, “another Houston pick 6”. With this, the Texans took the lead to 38-14 and negated any chances for a fourth-quarter comeback. Joe Flacco has just become the second QB in this season to pick six twice in a single game. Bryce Young did this last year for the Panthers after getting intercepted by Kenny Moore twice in the loss 27-13 against the Colts.

Kenny Moore has achieved the feat only the tenth time in the last 26 years.

Kenny Moore sets up the bar higher

He is the only player this season who has made return touchdowns in a single game against the Panthers. In the forgettable outing, Young was intercepted three times two of which resulted in pick-six TDs. It was achieved last time by Mike Edwards for the Bucs in the Tom Brady era. The Bucs won a monster game 48-25 in 2021. Tom Brady secured five touchdowns in the games.

Mike Edwards put the cherry on top in the fourth quarter by securing two picks of Matt Ryan in the final eight minutes. Before this Zach Brown did it against the Jags 12 years ago. Of the total ten instances since 1998, no team has won the game after giving two six picks, and as was the case with the Browns the crucial mistakes proved a little too much to compensate in the end.
