The NFL earned $18.6 billion in revenue last year! The league has a lot of sources that help it rake in that large moolah. And money from the sale of stadium tickets is a very small chunk of it. The NFL front office just takes 2-3% of the total revenue by a stadium for operations. Many teams pay almost nothing for the stadium. But some do, either for maintenance or as rent.

Besides, the ticket sales of a stadium are also a great marker of the team’s popularity and how passionate the team’s fans are about supporting them. But watching football from a stadium is an entire experience. It’s not just limited to coming to the stadium, watching the game and driving off. So how much does the entire NFL experience cost with the Playoffs around the corner?

The regular season has now come to an end. So, how much did families shell out this year to watch a live Kansas City Chiefs game from Arrowhead Stadium? Jim Irsay took to X with some interesting data. The factors he took into consideration were: a family consisting of 4 members, costs of parking, 4 hot dogs, 2 beers, and 2 sodas.

The average price of the cheapest ticket comes to a little less than $1,000. And you’d think that the reigning Super Bowl Champions and Patrick Mahomes would be the ultimate crowd-puller, right? But you’d be wrong. There are two more teams ahead of the Chiefs in this regard, and the most expensive one isn’t even a top-20 team!

The most and least expensive teams?

How a team has been performing is a factor in how much an NFL game would cost. And the Las Vegas Raiders are at the top! An average NFL game at Allegiant Stadium costs $1,381. But for the Raiders, the prices being so high could be attributed to how much more expensive Las Vegas is as compared to KC. The Philadelphia Eagles are next on the list with a little less than $1,200. And it makes sense, since they had made it to the Super Bowl last year.
