The MVP race has been heating up since last week. And Dak Prescott is determined not to leave any stone unturned. After the last win against the Washington Commanders, the Dallas Cowboys, and their quarterback elevated themselves in some rankings before the postseason.
The Cowboys appeared better this season than in years, entering the NFL playoffs 2024 with seed No. 2 and clinching the NFC East title after three years. And most of the credit goes to the quarterback, Dak Prescott. Not only has he achieved a milestone and is willing to get “something better” for the team, but the 30-year-old QB is also eyeing the MVP title in the wildcard round.

The updated NFL MVP odds for the 2023-2024 season primarily feature quarterbacks. The Cowboys closed their regular season with a convincing 38-10 win over division rival Washington. As they enter the wildcard weekend, quarterback Dak Prescott is in top form, earning him consideration for the league MVP. With a 12-5 season record, Prescott has the second-best odds at +1800 for the 2023 MVP award, after Lamar Jackson’s -20000.
Examining his regular-season performance, Prescott threw for 4,156 yards, averaging 265.6 yards per game, with 36 touchdowns and nine INTs. Despite a challenging Week 15, Prescott has rebounded impressively, running over 250 plus yards for each game. Now holding the No. 2 seed in the NFC, the Cowboys are set to face the Packers in the first round of the NFL playoffs, aiming for a deep postseason run. After this win, Prescott will be able to strengthen his chances to win the MVP title this year. Meanwhile, he has already secured a spot in Pro Bowl quarterback nominees.
Furthermore, if they are able to beat Green Bay, they will create history, as the quarterback is aiming to win the Super Bowl this time.
Just a few steps left to make some history in the league!
Dak Prescott is gearing up for his fifth playoff appearance with the Cowboys, facing the Packers in the wildcard round. Despite not advancing beyond the divisional round in his previous four trips, Prescott is optimistic about the 2023 Cowboys’ chances to make it to the Super Bowl.

And they haven’t been a No. 2 seed in the NFC since 1994. Now, Prescott believes the current team has the potential to break the postseason barriers and make a significant playoff run.
